Loti Wellness Box Review November 2020
Loti Wellness Box is a Canadian subscription box that offers practical skills and products to reduce stress and anxiety and improve your overall wellbeing. You will find in your box 5 to 8 quality wellness and lifestyle products to remind you to take the time for self-care in all different aspects of your life. Coming along, there is a workbook filled with therapeutic activities and guided materials related to the month’s theme.
Depending on your preference, you can receive a Loti Wellness Box every month or bi-monthly. The cost per box is $49.95 + $5.99 for shipping for Canadian and $8.99 to the contiguous US (the prices shown are in Canadian dollars). Every box has a retail value of approximately $85 or more, so it is totally worth it.
I love the look of Loti’s box and like it so much that I reuse it a lot for different purposes (there is even one that is used as a stand for my laptop!). The blue is calming and the message on it is inspiring: “Be Kind, Be Bold, Be Glad, Live Loti”. Being a full-time working mother of two, fueled by many passions and newly back to school, Loti is exactly the box I need to remind me I deserve time to grow and time to rest.
This month’s Loti Wellness Box theme is “Changes”. You not only discover 6 amazing new items that are worth over $100, but also a workbook related to the theme with exercises, many ideas to lead you through changes you want to make and help you switch your negative thoughts to positives one about yourself. Loti Wellness Box kindly sent me this box for review, and I am pleased to share my thoughts on the carefully chosen items and the workbook I received.
Natural Defence Hand Rub – Neal’s Yard
Neal’s Yard is a new brand for me, but they have been around in London for over 30 years. Through the years, they created many natural skin care, bath and body and aromatherapy products. Loti chose their hand sanitizer, something we can never have enough these days. The smell is very far from an ordinary hand sanitizer; the mix of niaouli, lemongrass and witch hazel is perfect and leaves your hands smelling fresh without the overpowering smell of alcohol.
Cream of Earl Grey Tea Bags – Genuine Tea
I discovered Genuine Tea last June and fell in love with this company. The lemon ginger tea was perfect as an afternoon tea and once started, my bag went empty quickly. I now have the chance to try the cream of earl grey, a blend of Orange Pekoe with notes of bergamot, vanilla and malt. Depending on your preferences, you can add a dash of cream or make it sweeter with some honey or maple syrup. Since it is not caffeine free, it will best be sipped in the morning to start your day.
Cleansing Cloth – Face Off Cloth
I have seen something similar before and always wondered if it really worked as well as it says. Since I do not wear a lot of makeup these days, I have not tried it yet, but I will test it out for sure. It is made up of 80% polyester and 20% polyamide and weaved a particular way to clean your face with only warm water. It is eco-friendlier than using disposable pads and products, but if you wear makeup daily, you should get a few more to always have one on hand.
Jaden Earring – Foxy Originals
Beautiful! I am not wearing much jewellery these days, but earrings are my go-to accessory and I love this particular kind. Simple and elegant, you can wear them with almost anything. They are handmade by Foxy Originals, a Canadian company, and are made from fine pewter and plated in 14 karat gold.
Bath Bomb – The Bath Bomb co.
Loti got the bath bomb we all need: “Stress Less”. Stress is omnipresent in our daily life with what is going on and you never have enough options to unwind and relax. There are many ways to do so, but a hot bath is a must. Add a bath bomb and it is even better. In this case, eucalyptus essential oil has been added and helps to relieve tension and even clear your sinuses. I might get a box of these bath bombs…
Four Wellness Tests – Vivoo
“At-home urine test strips for nutrition and lifestyle advice based on your body’s needs. Vivoo helps you track your hydration level, pH, ketones, UTIs and much more!”
Vivoo is a test strip with 8 different little boxes that each test a different parameter of your health. You need to urinate a few seconds on the boxes then photograph the test strip and let the Vivoo app analyse it. Then, you get a general health score and a specific score for eight parameters: water, pH, immunity, kidney, liver, UTI, energy and ketone.
You can track different health concerns in a convenient app and receive advice and information tailored to your needs. I had the opportunity to try it once and found the concept interesting. With only one strip, I could not give it a real try, but with a pack of four, I will see if it truly works and if I can influence the results by changing different habits. An important fact to know, the company is based in the U.S.A. and the only way to get more test strips is to buy directly on Vivoo’s website. For a one-time purchase, it is $24.99 USD (free shipping worldwide) for four tests, or you can opt for a subscription and receive 4 tests once a month for a cheaper price.
Changes Workbook
One of my favourite items in the box is Loti’s workbook. It is like psychotherapy in a few pages and I see it has an opportunity to work on myself and what I can do to make my life better and more enjoyable. This month is all about changes and how to work things out when you decide to make changes. They give many examples like when you decide to start working out, what should be your approach, do you have negative thoughts about yourself that you can change. I like the advice of taking small steps, like choosing a goal that will be achievable instead of going all in drastically and feeling that it is too much after a few days. There is a lot of interesting information on the subject and two exercises at the end. I believe this workbook will be a great help for a lot of subscribers.
Loti Wellness Box November 2020 Review – Final Thoughts
It is such a beautiful box. Loti Wellness Box tends to choose a nice variety of items and products that you are sure to use in your daily life. The items are also well picked depending on the month, like the cream of earl grey from Genuine Tea that contains caffeine and will be a great help for those having a hard time in the morning since the hour change. Also, I think the hand sanitizer from Neal’s Yard is such a great discovery. There are so many options on the market, and I must admit, I am getting tired of the weird smells and textures. This one was a godsend with it’s nice aroma and useful sprayer. I will use everything I received this month and will work in my workbook. There is always something we can change and change always starts with us. I am happy to have Loti Wellness Box to accompany me in this process.
