Loti Wellness Box is a Canadian subscription box that offers practical skills and products to reduce stress and anxiety and improve your overall wellbeing. You will find in your box 5 to 8 quality wellness and lifestyle products to remind you to take the time for self-care in all different aspects of your life. Coming along, there is a workbook filled with therapeutic activities and guided materials related to the month’s theme.
Depending on your preference, you can receive a Loti Wellness Box every month or bi-monthly. The cost per box is $49.95 + $5.99 for shipping for Canadian and $8.99 to the contiguous US (the prices shown are in Canadian dollars). Every box has a retail value of approximately $85 or more, so it is totally worth it.
I love the look of Loti Wellness Box and like it so much that I reuse it a lot for different purposes (there is even one that is used as a stand for my laptop!). The blue is calming and the message on it is inspiring: “Be Kind, Be Bold, Be Glad, Live Loti”. I love to reuse those beautiful boxes to store my personal items or even for the kids’ toys. With the change of season, school that started, I am getting in full organization mode.
This month’s theme is “Discovery”. You not only discover 6 amazing new items that are worth over $80 (over 90 $ with the workbook), but also a workbook related to the theme with exercises, many ideas to discover yourself and help you grow. Loti Wellness Box kindly sent me this box for review, and I am pleased to share my thoughts on the carefully chosen items and the workbook I received.
Wellness Spray – Naturally Vain
“Fill your senses with a little bit of euphoric bliss with this 100% natural wellness spray. This premium blend of lavender and citrus essential oils helps to calm your mind and make any space feel like a safe space. Simply spritz this spray wherever you may need some relaxation. This convenient size makes it perfect to carry around with your for on the go needs.”
Naturally Vain has three different Wellness Sprays and I received “Solace”, the calming spray. There is also one named Joy and another one Energy. I love these kinds of sprays and especially ones with a lavender scent. I can quickly put some on my pillow before going to bed, or in my kid’s bed sheets when they are a little too agitated before sleep. You can also simply spray some over your head and inhale. The smell is not too strong and pleasant. I will use it often.
Mantra Grip Socks – Toe Talk
These socks are not only cute, but they also make a great reminder with their mantra on it. I received the “This moment” model with water lilies on top and on the soles. They make perfect socks for the colder days to come for practicing yoga and Pilates. I like both activities and was thinking of buying gripping socks, so these arrived with perfect timing. They are also very well made. All the conception has been made for optimal comfort, support and durability. Also, the mantra “This moment” will be helpful to stay focused during my practice. My mind can wander easily, so I got the perfect mantra for me.
Pine & Eucalyptus Bath Salts – Beth and Olivia – Handmade
Eucalyptus seems to be THE essential oil this year. No one wants to catch the big virus everyone is talking about, but right now, even a little cold is frowned upon and we certainly do not want it to last. I always have pure Eucalyptus essential oil at hand for my diffuser, but I also love to use bath products with this scent like bath salts. It proves to be quite useful to help with congestion and I find it relaxing. This mix from Beth and Olivia consist of: dead sea salts, epsom salts, menthol crystals, essential oils of eucalyptus, pine, birch and wintergreen. This package has enough for one bath. Since there is not a lot, I will keep it for me or for the next family member who has a runny nose (or just because I need a relaxing bath).
Rosemary Mint Hand Repair Cream – Scentuals
I discovered the hand repair cream from Scentuals this Summer and l could not be happier to receive a new bottle. I had tried the Grapefruit and Turmeric one and fell in love with that scent. The Rosemary+Mint hand cream is as original and wonderful. It makes a perfect combination and I feel it has a calming effect. The cream itself is very hydrating and gets absorbed quickly. With all the hand washing these days and the super dry hands that come along, adding this perfect cream to the box was a good idea.
Matcha Detoxifying Clay Mask – Maskeraide
“Here’s the tea: This mask is the perfect way to cleanse and detoxify your pores. Want an intense clean feeling? Use this mask 2-3 times a week. Best for normal to oily skin.”
I have tried a few sheet masks from Maskeraide and liked them all, but I have not tried their Matcha mask yet. Since there are three packets, I find it convenient to bring one with me on a trip for a quick mask without bringing a big jar or tube. I also like the benefits from it: it cleanses, helps prevent acne and promotes smoother and more supple skin. Exactly what I need. The small package will be perfect to give it a try and if I want more, I will go for the bigger package with 12 packets in it.
Eco-Soy Candle, Lavender and Vanilla – Mere Soap & Botanicals
I received a few products from Mere Soap & Botanicals in past boxes and I am very fond of this company. They mostly sell their products in sets and with Loti Wellness Box, I get to discover one product at a time. This month I received their Eco-Soy Candle with a nice smell of Lavender and Vanilla. The vanilla overpowers a little the Lavender, but maybe it will balance out when it is lit. Also, I like that they used eco soya wax which is an environmentally friendly alternative to paraffin wax, and it is fully biodegradable and contains no pesticides or herbicides.
Discovery Workbook
You would not believe how fitting this workbook is for me this month. Discovery goes, for most, through traveling, discovering new places and new people, but this month, with COVID-19 making a lot of projects impossible, we must focus on discovering ourselves. Reading the workbook, I realized I have been going through that path for a few weeks now. I regularly check how I feel, if my wellness is on check, and recently making sure I am still evolving and making myself grow in some ways. I recently started to learn how to sew with an old sewing machine and now subscribe to a sewing subscription box. Discovering this pastime made me grow, made me proud of myself. I also made a big jump into a program at an online university (first time for me!). I feel like I need to challenge myself, go beyond my everyday life and discover new facets of my personality. This month’s workbook is another jewel with suggestions for self discovery, exercises of self-reflection. The last activity makes 2 pages and a half of a written visualization exercise. You can record the text (or ask a friend to do so) and listen to it for a relaxing moment.
Loti Wellness Box September 2020 Review – Final Thoughts
This month’s Loti Wellness Box theme was perfect and really talked to me. Of course, this month’s box made me discover new self-care products, but also new ideas to discover myself and help me grow. Still working at home, not going out as much, I must find a way to grow and discover in the comfort of my home. Reading the workbook, I found I was in the right path and found even more ideas and things to reflect on. Lots of the products received are going to help me relax, which is something I tend to forget and not take enough time for. The wellness spray from Naturally Vain is going to be perfect to calm my nerves, as well as the lavender and vanilla candle that will benefit everyone in the house once lit. The mantra socks are going to be ideal for my yoga and Pilates days, the bath salt will make a soothing bath and the Maskeraide Matcha mask will surely be pleasant and I hope, helpful with my skin problems. I will also gladly treat my hands with the perfect hand cream from Scentuals once I finish my other bottle from the same brand. So many perfect items this month, I could not be happier with the September Loti Wellness Box!
