Magnolia Crate is a greeting card subscription box; a monthly set of curated stationery and paper goods. It’s all about the feeling you get when you send and receive mail. There’s something about receiving a hand addressed letter, a beautifully colored envelope, or a unique card that really moves us. They kindly sent us this box for review.
I think Magnolia Crate is such a gorgeous little subscription box. I get excited when I see this one arrive in the mail because I know there will be the cutest little greeting cards inside. I absolutely LOVE their branding and marketing. I feel like these kind of details go a long way and make the unboxing process that much better.
May Theme
Note from Magnolia Crate:
I don’t know about you, but we’re having a seriously hard time believing that the year has gone by so quickly. This May we decided to lighten things up a bit and go for aquas, orchids and holographic foil.
We’re excited to also be including one of 3 colors of glitter glam notebooks from Ooly.com as our bonus item – because…..well it’s glitter, AND an EXCLUSIVE color design from one of our favourites, Kiss and Punch!
Happy Birthday Rainbow Foil – Parrot Paper Co.
A shimmery, festive, and fun way to wish a happy birthday. The silver foil has a holographic (rainbow) effect that changes colors as you move it in the light.
I forgot how much I love holographic prints. They are a little bit old school, and a little bit fun.
Thank You Thank You – Harken Press
Thank You, Thank You! This fun thank you card is letterpress printed with neon purple and neon blue inks that merge together creating a darker purple color between them. The ombre or gradient ink effect is unique and special. Because of the handmade process of letterpress, the coloring of each card looks slightly different as the ink changes throughout the print run. Each is a unique snowflake.
Simple and pretty. And the star detail makes the design fun.
Facebook Birthday – Fresh Out of Ink
Katy & Albert are a husband-and-wife team and the brains behind Fresh Out of Ink. We fell in love via snail mail when we were 14 years old – hence our love for paper and heartfelt, handwritten messages. We started Fresh Out of Ink in 2016 to spread the joy we felt to others.
Ummm….how fun is this! I love the font, I love the gorgeous teal color and I love the hashtag.
Grateful in Grapecicle – Kiss and Punch
Handlettered rainbow foil card for that special friend. Show that you appreciate their friendship with this spectacular card!
This is a really pretty card. The photo doesn’t do it justice. The orchid color is absolutely beautiful.
Glitter Glam Notebook – Bonus Item
Toss away the boring notebooks and go glamorous with Glamtastic Glitter Notebooks. You’ll be the talk of the town with these high profile, small sized, sparkly notebooks that’ll fit in your pretty little pocket. Each notebook has 64 lined pages at 4 by 5.75 inches so Glamtastic Notebooks are small enough to carry around and sizeable enough for your captivating notes.
I am a sucker for notebooks. And if they are sparkly, well….that’s ten times better.
Magnolia Crate Review May 2017 – Final Thoughts
Magnolia Crate sets the bar when it comes to beautiful packaging and thoughtfully curated boxes. I just can’t get enough of this box. It’s gorgeous from beginning to end. I love the color combination of aqua and orchid this month…..so beautiful. I also love that they included such a fun bonus item. That would be another feature that sets this box apart….the bonus items we receive from time to time. I am also intrigued by the fact that they had this written at the bottom of the product card:
- PS – next month we’re launching a whole new look, so be sure to follow us on Instagram @magnoliacrate and take a look at the sneak peek on the back.
I admire Magnolia Crate for not being afraid of change. I think it is far too easy for subscription boxes to get stuck in a rut. They create their brand and stick with it through thick and thin. I like to see my subscription boxes evolve and grow. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us next…..
