I have a confession to make. I already had a peek in this month’s Mapleblume box and it is my FAVORITE box thus far. Oh my goodness. I am beyond excited about this box. They nailed it this month. The curation is perfect, the brands are awesome, and the value is amazing. They are going to have a hard time topping this one!
June Theme – Summer Radiance
This month’s theme is Summer Radiance. It appears as though we have some lovely products to help our skin glow, add some color to our lips, and make our lashes stand out.
To me this is the perfect Summer box as all you need in the warmer months is glowing skin, mascara and a little gloss.
Here’s a look at the items we received this month:
Antioxidant Facial Serum from Laurel Whole Plant Organics – $124.00
Laurel’s Antioxidant Facial Serum is an ideal moisturizer and anti-aging serum for all skin types. It features a whole plant blend of Gotu Kola, Comfrey, Calendula, Nettle, and Rosehip Oil that stimulate collagen production, reduce sun damage, and encourage healthy cell reproduction. A luxurious, floral, green blend of organic and therapeutic grade essential oils: Frankincense, Rose, Neroli, Sandalwood, Myrrh, and Jasmine is included to nourish, plump, and restore skin. This is a cult favorite and sure to leave your skin glowing!
Yes!! This is exactly what I was hoping to see in the June box. We received the most amazing skin oil in the December box but it just ran out and I was on the hunt for a new oil to try. This one will do nicely. The value is crazy and it has a couple of my favourite ingredients – Rosehip Oil and Calendula. I have been known to use both of these oils on my face individually, but they are way better when combined with a few other skincare superstars. I am absolutely thrilled with this first item!!
Ancient Earth Micro Exfoliate from Naturallogic – $27.00
Ancient Earth is a gentle, non-aggressive facial scrub that removes dead skin and impurities without the harshness of aluminum crystals or chemicals that can disturb the life of our skin. Its creamy, mousse-like texture glides over skin so easily, you’ll wonder if its working. Leaves skin nourished, soft, smooth and in balance.
And it just keeps getting better! Other than face oil, a good facial scrub is my other skincare must-have. This item pairs perfectly with the first one. Use them together and I guarantee your skin will glow…….can we say Summer Radiance?!
H Is For Love Lip Glacé – Root & Berry – $23.00
Lip Glacé is a universally flattering rose-colored gloss. Its tint is derived from berries, roots and flowers and completely void of mica, iron oxides or mineral pigments. Highly regenerative sea buckthorn CO2 lends a touch of red clay color to the mix. Virgin, cold-pressed coconut oil creates a matte look in the pot, but once warmed by your lips it becomes glossy (glacé!)
Glacé is perfection if you seek a touch of femininity in a deeply hydrating gloss. Its effect is subtle, serving to enhance the natural look of the wearer and it can also layer beautifully over nearly any lipstick color.
Both stunning and discreet, Lip Glacé wears deliciously, imparting hints of peppermint, vanilla and berry but without being overpowering. Healthy, sexy lips – naturally.
Yes, yes, yes……..another amazing product! As I mentioned above, my skincare routine is super simple in the Summer. A great moisturizer, clean skin, mascara (coming up next) and a pretty gloss. I absolutely LOVE that this one is derived from berries, roots and flowers. I am over-the-moon right now!
Citrine Lotion Body Scrub from Vo. Bath & Co. – $20.00
Lemon & Tangerine combined with grapefruit creating a citrus invigorating energizing scent that brightens and fades scaring.
These scrubs are made from a unique formulation that turns a regular body scrub into a rich creamy lotion when emulsified with water. The natural sugars combined with luxurious oils removes dull dead and skin and that will visibly create smoother and more radiant skin.
Apply onto damp skin and exfoliate on desired areas and rinse. Pat dry and moisturizing after is not needed we promise, but if you really want to.
We’ve got our face taken care of, so it only makes sense to pay a little attention to the rest of our skin. Loving this item as much as the last three.
Mascara from Pure Anada Cosmetics – $14.00
Finally, a natural mascara you can feel good about putting on your lashes! It is naturally paraben-free, gluten-free, and mercury-free. You will be amazed at how well this mascara builds volume and length to your lashes. We trust that this will be the natural mascara you’ve been waiting for!
Here we have the last piece of the puzzle. Thanks to this item we have my entire skincare/makeup routine covered in one box. I no longer use regular mascara on my lashes. I will only use natural mascara. Needless to say, I am super excited about this last product.
Mapleblume Review June 2017 – Final Thoughts
Mapleblume exceeded my expectations this month. The June box is absolute perfection. If I were to put a Summer Beauty box together this is exactly what it would look like. It’s not often that I am chomping at the bit to use every single item in one particular box. But that’s the case with the June Mapleblume. I want to get this review over with so I can go test out the products ASAP. They have taken care of all my Summer skincare needs. I could easily pack these 5 items in a travel bag and be ready to go. This subscription is quickly becoming my favourite beauty box. Yes, it’s a little more expensive than most……but totally worth it.
