I am a huge jewelry fan and always sport necklaces and earrings.
This mintMONGOOSE package was delivered in a beautiful teal bubble mailer with a sticker that read: “Thank you for supporting a woman & mom-owned small business <3 Helena” and inside there was a product card, a Werther’s Original candy, and a white cardstock envelope wrapped with a ribbon and stamped with a wax seal with their mintMONGOOSE logo.
The product card reads:
“Our inspiration: This month’s set is yet again, brought to you by my sweet-as-pie daughter, Emma. My kiddos are where I pull inspiration for nearly every set I put out, so this set is no different. While it may be no surprise after seeing the photos, this month’s inspiration rests in the paws of a stunning creature my daughter labeled “amazing’: the leopard.”
I have always loved leopard print, even before it was “trendy” thanks to my maternal grandmother’s style, fashion choices and wardrobe. I always joke that if I were to get married that my wedding colours would be black and leopard print!
The product card then goes on to describe this month’s jewelry set being inspired by leopards. “Leopards symbolize physical strength, perseverance, confidence, power, leadership, intelligence, beauty, independence, steadfastness, swiftness, gracefulness and female mystique.” As well as the strength and goodness of: “women, moms, first responders, nurses and doctors, teachers, essential workers, parents and anyone who stops their day to do anything for others.”
I was so enamoured by the meaning and inspiration for this jewelry set.
Inside the envelope, the jewelry was packaged in teal tissue paper and there was a “thank you” business card with their social media channels listed on the other side.
Each jewelry piece was individually bubble-wrapped, in a small plastic bag and had a mintMONGOOSE tag attached. This is a nice touch if you wanted to give or gift a piece to someone else.
This month I received a set of two necklaces and matching earrings in gold. Let’s take a look at the pieces:
These earrings are gorgeous! They are a strong hexagon shape and are made from a tortoise-shell patterned material that resembles a leopard. The gold metal accent really draws your eye and helps to tie into the other pieces. These earrings will be a unique addition to my wardrobe, or will make a spectacular gift. As always, they are versatile and can be dressed both up and down to suit any occasion.
This necklace was one of the spoiler pieces released by mintMONGOOSE earlier in September. This necklace is a nice tie-in to the earrings as it is like the small gold accent on the earrings. This gorgeous necklace can be worn separately or together with the next piece.
This necklace is dainty and classy, and I really love it. I really love the hexagon design and it matches the earrings. It has three adjustable lengths and could be worn on its own or with the necklace below. When I wore it out to an event I received a lot of compliments.
The September 2020 mintMONGOOSE package had three beautiful gold jewelry pieces that fit the “leopard” theme well. All three pieces could be worn together or separately and would go well with many outfits. My favourite piece is the longer pendant necklace and I am going to give the shorter necklace to my neighbour. The value was not provided for each piece, but I would happily pay $15.99 for this set. The mintMONGOOSE subscription would be great for anyone who already loves jewelry or is looking to add to their collection without breaking the bank!
