Miss Musclebox Review January 2021

Miss Musclebox is a monthly subscription box tailored for women. Each month is themed differently and comes with a variety of items including an array of gym apparel, healthy treats, fitness accessories and custom workouts designed by qualified trainers. They kindly sent us this box for review.

My January Miss Musclebox arrived in a plain brown mailing box this month and I almost didn’t realize what it was. I’m assuming there were issues with suppliers (this has been the case with other boxes) but I have to admit, I definitely prefer logo’d subscription boxes as opposed to plain mailing boxes.

Other than that everything appears to be the same. Let’s have a closer look….

Monthly Workout

Each month subscribers receive a custom workout and this month we received High Intensity Interval Training. The booklet teaches us about Tabata, what the benefits are, when to do it, and how to do it.

Treign Glyde Shorts  ($36)

Step onto the field, or into the gym, with the new Treign Glyde shorts. These shorts are functional, light and comfortable, giving you the edge in every situation. 

I have to be totally honest, I’m not loving the clothing item this month. This is strictly a personal preference as this style of athletic short just doesn’t suit my body shape. With that being said, I do like the fact that they included a pair of shorts as it’s definitely something my workout wardrobe is lacking. Maybe I will give them a try regardless.

W&E Organic Hand Cream ($24)

To ensure those hands are kept soft and hydrated, W&E bring you their organic hand cream. When applied, it provides you with the feel of supple skin without the greasy after-feel, which is perfect for post-training application. 

This will be the third month in a row where we have received a bath & body type item and I am loving it. Hand cream is something we can all use right about now and it’s something I try to keep with me at all times.

No Cow Protein Bar – Lemon Meringue Pie

A perfect balance between tangy lemon and a slice of meringue pie. WE threw in some pea protein crisps for added texture too. Try not to salivate.

This is very exciting! I love it when they feature vegan-friendly protein bars in the box. This is a brand I haven’t heard of before and I am very intrigued. The bars were created through a personal need from a whey protein intolerance and I find that so interesting because I to have issues with whey protein. So many people swear by it but I’ve never been a fan. I love to see protein bars made with something other than whey.

Skinny Dipped Almonds

SkinnyDipped refers to the way our almonds, cashews and peanuts are dipped in a super thin layer of chocolate or yogurt; the nuts and coating are balanced in the most delicious (and healthy) way possible. You get more nut than chocolate in every bite – which means way less sugar than traditional chocolate-covered snacks. 

Pretty darn excited about these little snack bags. Believe it or not, I’ve never had Skinny Dipped Almonds before but I see them everywhere. I’m not even sure why I haven’t tried them, but better late than never. I had a peek on their website and they have so many fun flavors. They even have cashews and peanuts.

Miss Musclebox Review January 2021 – Final Thoughts

The January Miss Musclebox isn’t necessarily my favorite but I totally don’t expect to love every single subscription box I receive. The shorts are a great addition to any workout wardrobe so even though they aren’t my personal fave, I know a lot of subscribers are going to love them. The snacks this month are pretty darn fun and the hand cream is much appreciated. I say this every month……but for the price point you just can’t go wrong.
