MissionCute Review May 2017

MissionCute was started up out of a passion to give excellent gifts while at the same time supporting not-for-profit organizations. Each month, MissionCute works with a very special nonprofit to help promote their mission, raise awareness, and donate a portion of their monthly net proceeds from the MissionCute boxes and shop to their organization. They kindly sent us this box for review.

This Month’s Partner – Heifer International

Help end hunger with Heifer International!  Heifer’s mission is to work with communities to end world hunger and poverty and to care for the Earth.  Heifer empowers families to turn hunger and poverty into hope and prosperity – but their approach is more than just giving them a handout.  Heifer links communities and helps bring sustainable agriculture and commerce to areas with a long history of poverty.  Heifer’s animals provide partners with both food and reliable income, as agriculture produces such as milk, eggs and honey can be traded or sold at market.

Ok, so I have a confession to make.  I did all the photography for my reviews this week on Friday and them promptly left town for a cabin weekend in the woods.  I forgot all about work and all about the items that were provided in this month’s MissionCute box…. When I started editing the photos for the post I got gleefully excited as I remembered all the items that are in the May box!  So cute!

Moe + Co – Mint Stud Earrings

Ahh!  Just look at these!  So darn cute.  Classy, yet trendy.  This is exactly the kind of item I just love to receive in a subscription box.  I also love that it comes in its own little box, as it feels like a surprise within the box itself.  So cute!

Fuschia Candle Holder = Votive

Darn cute!  They have also provided a small battery lit candle.

Patience Fruit and Co

Yumm!  I always appreciate a good snack tucked away in a box.  This one looks pretty delectable too!

Vintage Jewelled Hair Pin Set

Love! So cute.  I can’t have enough hair pins, I’m always losing them.  I’m not huge into hair sparkle, but these are just dainty enough that I think I’ll have to give them a go.

Grace 5×7 Graphic Print

I am loving the graphics on this card!  The lettering is perfect and the art itself is so delicate!

Mango Pineapple Body Scrub

I am very quickly becoming a huge fan of body scrubs.  I feel like every box I open I think, “Coffee scrub?!”… This may not be a coffee scrub, but it will certainly do in the mean time and it smells AMAZING!

MissionCute May 2017 – Final Thoughts

Love!  Sarah has often said it takes about three months or three boxes to get a real feel of a subscription box and it’s curation.  This is my third MissionCute box and even looking back over the two previous months I can easily say it’s quickly becoming one of my favourites!  I absolutely love the concept of supporting not for profits and then feeling like the box itself is just an elaborate thank you for the donation!  Kind of a win win.  I feel the items they provide are functional, yet pretty and fun!  I haven’t felt like the items I received are only giftable or box fillers.  Every item received has been something I’ve looked over and admired.  If you want to get your feet wet in the subscription box world I would highly recommend starting with MissionCute.  After all, it’s really just a donation and prezzies as a thank you 😉
