Mommy Mailbox Review August 2017
Mommy Mailbox is a monthly gift that uplifts and rewards motherhood. Each box is curated by a different guest blogger, who shares a piece of her style with you by including her favorite goodies. Items are a mix of fashion, gourmet food, fitness, art, home décor and beauty. They kindly sent us this box for review.
Mommy Mailbox is one of those subscriptions that snuck up on me. I’ve known about it for quite some time, but never realized just how awesome it is until I started reviewing it consistently. I always loved the idea of a Mommy box, but didn’t fall in love with it until I had it in front of me. Now it is one of the boxes I look forward to the most. The last few months have been exceptionally amazing and I have a feeling they are just going to keep getting better and better.
Here’s a look at the items we received in the August box…..
August Theme – Brighten
Our feature blogger this month is Mia Cluff, a social media and PR guru for a skin care company, and wife and mom to the sweetest 3 month old baby boy. She has a gorgeous Instagram account and a blog that she runs with her sister, that’s all about fashion, adventures and motherhood. Mia is perfect for our August box as it is full of items to help Brighten your life. It’s all about being happy, colourful, quirky and fun this month.
Greeting Cards – Rifle Paper Co.
The name of this boxed set of cards is Happy, and it’s clear to see why. Just looking at them makes you smile. We’re thinking about framing one for the office.
Wow, the product description for this first item couldn’t be any more accurate. I started to smile the minute I pulled these cards out of the box. The first one I saw was “when life gives you lemons” and I fell in love instantly. I too was thinking of framing at least one of these for my office. Actually, I kind of want to frame one of each and create a little collage on one of my walls.
Plumping Gloss – Fusion Beauty
Plump, pouty lips without irritants or injections? Yes please! Color Shine Sheer Plumping Gloss applies marine collagen filling spheres for an immediate plump, in the gorgeous shade of Dream.
It’s always nice to receive a new lip gloss. There’s just something about a new shade that makes you feel pampered. Maybe it’s the idea of getting to replace the shade I currently have in my purse. Out with the old and in with the new……I love that feeling!
Tea Face – Your Tea
Our favourite brand of tea is now one of our favourite skin care brands too! Tea Face gently exfoliates and revitalizes skin, even healing scars and addressing uneven skin tone, for a glowing complexion.
Ohhh……this is exciting. I am very familiar with this brand. I have received their tea a few times in the past and absolutely love their products and their packing. And now they offer skincare?? I had to do a little research……..it is made with some really amazing essential oils and, of course, tea granules. It will do the following: exfoliate and revitalize your skin, nourish your skin, heal your scars, address uneven skin tone, and create a glowing complexion. Sounds amazing!
Socks – Bryt
This U.K. sock company makes the softest, highest quality, most fun socks ever. Just try to not be happy wearing these!
These are super cute and super fun. I’m not really one to wear socks during the summer but love the idea of having these beauties on hand come Fall.
Licorice – YumEarth
This pomegranate licorice is organic, gluten free, and made with natural flavours. Oh, and it’s delicious.
I really love this brand, and I really love licorice. It was my candy of choice when I was younger. I’ve never tried pomegranate flavoured licorice though, it sounds yummy. I will keep this on hand for my next sweet craving.
Mommy Mailbox Review August 2017 – Final Thoughts
Mommy Mailbox always puts a smile on my face. I love how consistent this box is, and I love the structure. Each month there is a theme, each month there is a guest curator, and each month we receive a wonderful mixture of products. I like that we receive a bit of everything – beauty, fashion, stationery, treats, etc…. This month’s theme is one of my favourites, as are some of the products. The Rifle Paper Co. cards are super fun and uplifting, and the Tea Face is a great new discovery. Mommy Mailbox is up there on my favourites list. I can’t wait to see what they put together for the Fall and Winter!
XOXO
