Subscription Details
myteabox.ca subscribers will receive 2-3 high quality teas of all types, including pure teas, blended/flavoured teas, and herbal tisanes. The teas included are award-winners from the Global Tea Championships, while others come from the master tea crafters of small family farms in China, India, Nepal, Japan, Sri Lanka, and more. Tea happiness guaranteed!
When signing up, you may choose if they prefer to receive 2 or 3 pouches per box, and if you would prefer a monthly, 3-month, 6-month or 12-month renewal cycle. You will also be able to indicate if you prefer black, green, or herbal tea, or just go for the Surprise Me option. Boxes ship for free in Canada and the United States.
The teas come neatly packaged in a sturdy brown envelope. I am so excited! There is nothing like sitting down to a hot cup of tea to rewind after a long day.
Here are the teas I received for January:
Almond Sugar Cookie Dessert Black
“This gorgeous tea is the perfect caffeinated indulgence. Strong black tea gets the sweet treatment with toasted almonds and almond sugar cookie, while the chocolatey and slightly smoky flavour of safflower balances everything out. Try it on its own, or add warm milk to further its decadence.”
This sounds like the perfect cold weather tea! I love the addition of toasted almonds for a touch of nuttiness and sweetness.
Snickerdoodle Rooibos
“This caffeine-free delight oozes with the scent of fresh warm cookies, its green rooibos leaves swirling with cinnamon pieces and sweet blackberry leaf.”
This tea is said to aid in digestion and can be the perfect after dinner beverage. The scent of cinnamon really brings me back to the holiday season.
Maghreb Mint
“Take a trip to North Africa with this worldly and spicy tea, an exotic and intoxicating blend of roasted green tea, peppermint, ginger, and cardamom. The warm nutty notes are pleasantly offset with aromatic clove and woody fennel, creating a unique and lively, unforgettable cup.”
I love green teas, and love the addition of ginger root, peppermint, and fennel for some spice and aroma. Of the three, this one is my favourite. It with really good with sugar as suggested, but I think I prefer it as is.
Final Thoughts
This is my first myteabox.ca and I am really in love. I really like the simple, no frills packaging, and that important information like ingredients, caffeine levels, expiry dates, and brewing instructions like water temp and how long to brew are right on the packaging. Boxes like these are the perfect way to test out new flavours or if you are someone like me who enjoys having a variety of teas to choose from. They are also the perfect gift for any tea lover!
