NoMakeNoLife is a subscription-based service that delivers you a box full of unique japanese beauty products from Tokyo straight to your doorstep. Their aim is to introduce Japanese culture via beauty products that not only look good but make you feel good. They kindly sent us this box for review.

NoMakeNoLife is one of three subscriptions offered by the same company. They also have a snack subscription called TokyoTreat and a Kawaii themed subscription called YumeTwins.

When you sign up for a NoMakeNoLife subscription you can choose from the following options:

Box Details: NMNL comes in one size. Each monthly box contains a mix of 5 – 7 full-sized beauty items of the highest quality from 6 different categories (skin, body, make, hair, bath and tools) chosen for you by our in-house beauty consultant.

Delivery Details: NMNL delivers free worldwide shipping to over 120+ countries. Once your order has been placed, your box will ship immediately and will arrive between the 20th and 28th of the following month.

Here’s a closer look at the items we received in the January box…..

Refresh Chocomint Mask

This month you will receive two great face masks, one of which is a delicious smelling chocolate mint mask! This mask is made to tighten and refresh one’s skin. It utilizes mint extract to tighten one’s skin and help remove wrinkles, while cocoa extract helps moisturize your skin leaving you feeling refreshed! Your skin will feel amazing after using this sweet mask! 

Mochipuru Strawberry Daifuku Mask

The other amazing mask you received this month is a tasty strawberry mochi scented mask that will leave your skin feeling milky smooth! This type of mask aims to leave your face feeling as smooth and fresh as a delicious mochi! Squalane is used to improve your skin’s moisture, while camu camu fruit helps leave your skin smooth as silk. Aloe vera is also used to heal and refresh your skin. This mask is the perfect relaxation tool after a long week! 

I am pretty intrigued by these masks! The Chocomint really speaks to me. I’m a bit of a kid at heart when it comes to scents so both of these are right up my alley. I can’t wait to find some time to try these out! Face masks are always a great addition of fill-in item in a beauty subscription box.

Beauty World 2 in 1 Cool Glitter

A versatile beauty tool, this 2 in 1 cool glitter is a perfect addition to one’s beauty kit! In one set, you receive a clear eye gloss and a bottle of glitter powder. You can mix these two together for a glittery eye shadow, but it can also be used as a cute lip gloss or on your cheek! You can also add the glitter while doing your nails for a glistening nail polish finish. The cool glitter comes in one of two colors.

Well this is a fun little item! Maybe not one I will find much use for but nonetheless, I love that they include an item that is a little outside the box. Who knows, maybe glitter will make a huge comeback, but for now I’m having flashbacks to middle school.

Mapepe Eyelash Curler & Rubber Refills

To ensure you get the best lookin’ lashes, we have included a mapepe eyelash curler. This curler was made by a Japanese manufacturer well-known for its high quality goods. It is made with easy-to-grip handles and an arch made to fit one’s eye curve so it can be used easily. This curler also features durable, elastic silicone rubber buffers to ensure that your eyelashes stay perfectly pretty as you curl them!

Eeek! I was so excited to see this item! Eye Lash curlers both intrigue me and intimidate me! When done well they can make your lashes look amazing. So far all I have accomplished is the eyelash crimp, lol! Because of this I have never invested in a good curler. I am determined to master the curl and can’t wait to test this puppy out! I also absolutely love that they have included refills. They earn so many bonus points from me for that!

Fiancee Fragrance Body Powder

Popular brand Fiancee, known for supporting hard working women with their refreshing fragrances, brings you this fresh shampoo scented body powder. This body powder is translucent and provides many benefits, such as SPF 23 UV protection, ensuring the body’s natural moisture is locked in and keeping one’s skin as smooth as silk. It also easily washes off with soap! 

Body Powder is another item I have never purchased for myself. I wasn’t too sure what to think about the shampoo scent when I read the description but I have to tell you it smells delightful. Very fresh and light! I’m actually quite excited to give it a try! That is the great thing with subscription boxes, they open you up to a whole new world of products you might not have otherwise tried.

Honeil Cleansing Oil

Time to moisturize and protect your skin all while cleansing it! Honeil is famous for using natural ingredients from honey bees and propolis to keep moisture locked in and protecting skin from harm. This cleansing oil also utilizes ingredients from sunflowers to ensure your skin stays moisturized! Keeping your skin moisturized and protected helps prevent aging. Also, this cleansing oil can even gently remove water resistant mascara!

Cleansing with oil is another new concept for me, however, if it moisturizes, protects against aging and removes mascara as mentioned above this girl is happy to give it a go. I actually just ran out of makeup remover this morning and was annoyed at the thought of running out to get some so NoMakeNoLife, you have just made my day.

NoMakeNoLife Review January 2018 – Final Thoughts

What a delightful box of products! I am always amazed at how many items they manage to fit in this box. All the items, aside from perhaps the glitter, will go to good use this month! The only thing that could have possibly put this month over the top was mascara as I am always looking for a great new mascara! A girl can dream, amiright? They definitely won major bonus points this month for including refills for the eyelash curler and I can’t wait to get my curl on. I am also looking forward to try the cleansing oil and body powder as these are both products I haven’t tried. I also love that they include a booklet detailing all the products and instructions for use as all the writing on the packaging is Japanese. All in all, January is a win for me!
