Petit Vour Review November 2019

Petit Vour is a luxury-curated, cruelty-free beauty box. A play on words, Petit Vour is named after the elegant and assorted French pastries, petit fours, swapping the “F” to a “V” for Vegan. This box, much like testing out petit fours, is meant to be a delightful way to conveniently and affordably discover covetable, clean, and cruelty-free beauty. They kindly sent us this box for review.

Each month in Petit Vour you’ll receive 4 products (always valued over $50) of cruelty-free, non-toxic and plant-based beauty. Items include anything from makeup and hair care to body and skincare – all curated to match your beauty profile. This means that not everyone will receive the same box contents in a given month and the contents you receive will match your needs and wants!

As an added bonus, you can get $4 back each month in store credit for reviewing your box on their site. Just review the items in your beauty box & earn up to 400 PV Points ($4) each month. Save or spend them; your points are “free money” at petitvour.com.

November Box Details ($55 total value)

“With the holiday season upon us and our calendars full, we wanted to focus this month’s collection on undeniably reliable, next-level products that we can depend on through the winter hustle and bustle. This season, treat yourself to an assortment of noteworthy discoveries: a “blessing” of a beauty balm, a spa-grade exfoliating mask, an enriching aromatic body lotion, and a highly pigmented, waterproof eyeliner. Our selected skincare nourishes and rejuvenates even the most sensitive skin, while the standout non-toxic liquid liner defines eyes for smudge-proof color that will outlast every flurry.”

What a perfect theme for this month! Winter is so unpredictable – especially here in the midwest (what is this early November snow?!) so getting a collection of reliable products that not only make you feel good when the cold winds come in, but also take care of your skin at the same time is a win win!

Here’s a look at what’s in this month’s Petit Vour box:

Box Insert

Once again the artwork chosen for the insert cover is so beautiful! I love how simple and eye catching it is and how it hints at the season we are in. It just speaks gratitude, thankfulness and helping other to me – plus the colors are perfectly fall. There’s got a be a good way to reuse these cards – it would be perfect art for framing!

Joséphine Cosmetics L’eil Définite – The Eye Define ($26)

“Richly-pigmented and completely waterproof, this stick-to-your-lids formula contains grapefruit seed extract for a smooth application. The felt tip allows for easy movement and effortless strokes to define eyes.”

I love liquid eyeliner and the winged look. I actually rarely use any other kind of eyeliner so this is the best item to find in this box. It has a perfectly pointed tip and is soft enough for application, yet hard enough for control. It’s just the right dark black color and only has a hint of shine. It says waterproof, so that’s a good sign because running winged liner is not good. This would be perfect for holiday looks, but I’d use it for every day wear too. Cannot wait to test this one out on the lids.

Leahlani Bless Beauty Balm ($13)

“Bless your skin with potent, skin-softening and skin nourishing ingredients. Rich butters combined with orange blossoms and blue tansy oils nurture and help reduce inflammation.”

I have been eyeing the Leahlani brand for SO long but I’ve still never tried anything from them so I was so excited to find this item in the box. Bless Balm is a rich and luxurious facial moisturizer made with organic and cold-pressed beauty oils to nourish and hydrate skin. It says it’s for all skin types but especially beneficial for sensitive, dry and mature skin so my sensitive and dry skin can’t wait to try this one. It’s also a very pretty pink color and smells heavenly – orange blossom floral. So good!

Juice Beauty Peel Sensitive Exfoliating Mask ($11)

“Formulated with botanical juices and alpha hydroxy acids, this mask exfoliates and refines to reduce dark spots and discoloration, delivering spa-grade exfoliation revealing a brighter complexion.”

I’ve been on a real mask kick lately so I love having another one to add to my collection, especially one I’ve never tried before. I also find that regular exfoliation really helps my skin so this mask ought to be just what I need. It’s a chemical exfoliation not a physical exfoliator, so the alpha hydroxy acids do the work to smooth the skin while you wait – no scrubbing needed. Gentle exfoliation is great for the winter when skin can be extra sensitive anyway.

Lavido Mandarin Aromatic Body Lotion ($5)

“Indulge with this mandarin, orange, and bergamot scented lotion. Formulated for all skin types, this rich but lightweight body lotion restores your skin and leaves it buttery soft.”

They’re not joking when they say this is an aromatic body lotion! It smells really nice, but it’s not a super light scent, but it doesn’t linger too heavily for long. It smells a like a sharp, crisp, floral with citrus undertones. its refreshing and clean. There is added fragrance to achieve this scent, which isn’t my favorite, but it’s still a very nice lotion. It has a luxurious texture to it and it absorbs into skin really well without leaving a greasy feeling at all.

Petit Vour Review November 2019 – Final Thoughts

I really like this month’s Petit Vour box contents! Once again it’s very thoughtfully curated and I’ll be using each and every item. I’m definitely most excited about the eyeliner and the Bless Balm – I’ll be testing out the later tonight for sure. And the eyeliner couldn’t have come at a more perfect time since my current one is getting a bit dry. This subscription box continues to be one of my favorites!
