Here’s a closer look at the October 2021 Postmark’d Studio PostBox…

Postmark’d Studio October “Falling for Kindness” PostBox Edition 5.5

“Hello October! Crisp fall air, that has me thinking about all the change in the colour of the Fall foliage and the simple things that we can do to make a change too this season. If there’s one thing we all need to do, it should be kind to one another. Acts of kindness should be the new normal and doing nice things for no reason at all is such an awesome thing. We can always show kindness when thinking about what we say. Why not use this list of kindness quotes to spread some love and joy in the world, snail mail style of course?! -Anne”

Each Postmark’d Studio PostBox is so well-curated that I cannot wait to see what sort of ‘Falling for Kindness’ inspired items Anne has included for this month’s PostBox. I always try my best to be kind.

Hello Gourdeous Card

“Kate Talcott Artistry is a family run business located in Woodinville, WA. The team consists of: Kate the watercolor artist, social media queen, and big-time dreamer; Andy, her husband is the digital designer, shipping guru, and all about those brass tacks; and lastly their darling tiny-human mascot helps make sure they are running a tight ship and inspires them to see the world through fresh eyes. Kate started the company because SHE LOVES to shower her besties with all her intense feelings of adoration, and she wanted to help other people do that too!”

This card is so sweet! I love the play on words and will definitely be mailing this to a friend this month!

My Wish For You Card

“Paper Baristas is a paper goods company run by Christy Asper and her husband Jon, located in Lake Of The Ozarks, MO. They love textures, letter pressing, sustainability, coffee, and people. Their mission is to create ethically sourced products by beautiful people for a beautiful cause. All of their paper is made from upcycled cotton rags that were going to be tossed out by the garment industry. They are on a mission to help fight modern-day slavery in the supply chain industry.”

I love the sweet message on this card and the raw edges of the paper it is printed on. This is a beautiful card to brighten someone’s day.

Be Kind Card

“Big Wheel Press located in Easthampton, MA was founded by Bill Muller in 2006. The studio name comes from the first two presses Bill owned, the first a toy he received in 1964 called the Big Press and the second his first professional press, a Pearl #14 with a large cast iron flywheel. Big Wheel Press uses traditional letterpress techniques to craft quirky cards with a vintage flair.”

How fun is this card?! My teacher friends would love to receive something like this as you can punch out the flag and hang it as a subtle reminder in your classroom.

Thankful for Your Kindness

“Ramona & Ruth is a boutique letterpress stationery studio in Omaha, NE founded in 2009 by owner Kim Burks. The studio’s namesakes are Kim’s grandmothers – Ramona, the creative florist who loved the Golden Girls and finding the humor in everything, and Ruth, the poised and gentle farmer who spent her days tending and growing her gardens. Both Ramona and Ruth embodied the brand’s ethos today: there is always loveliness in simplicity, and the best things in life are those that fill our days to the brim with warmth, kinship, and joy.”

This is a beautiful card with an abstract design printed on it.

Sending Hugs (with chocolate) Card

“Stacy Stahl is the founder of Sweeter Cards, a greeting-card-meets-choc olate bar brand based out of St Louis, MO. Stacy is a huge cheerleader for her friends and family and has always taken the time to celebrate others. In her constant search for meaningful ways to be thoughtful, Stacy found it repeatedly difficult to find things that were more than a card, but less than an overly expensive (and oftentimes wasteful) gift. By combining chocolate and cheeky greeting cards, Sweeter Cards accomplishes just that!”

This card is amazing! Who doesn’t love chocolate?! I love this idea so much!

Little Leaf Heart Tiny Card

“Tiny and Snail (est. 2017) is run by a sister team, Leah, and Grace. They create joyful illustrations and believe that technology will never be as magical as a paper card. The road hasn’t been easy. In 2018, Leah/Tiny was in a life altering accident while working her day job, building homes for Habitat for Humanity, which left her paralyzed from the chest down. In that brutal time, Tiny and Snail provided a life raft for them to cling to. Their cards and art reflect the wonder of life and the ability to shine light into dark days.”

This little card will be sure to brighten someone’s day! It is so sweet!

Postage

“Vintage US postage to mail (4) letters.”

The postage this month is so cool! I am obsessed with Frida Kahlo and she makes an appearance on this postage. Subscribers always receive enough postage to mail the cards in their monthly postbox.
