RenovateCrate is a brand new subscription box for housewares. In fact, this is the very first box they have shipped. How exciting. When I first discovered this box, I thought it might have something to do with renovating your home, but that’s not the case. Ever month they include houseware essentials……and I LOVE receiving items for our home.

Here’s a look at the items we received in our first box:
3-Piece Airtight Container Set With Bamboo Lids ($45)
Cereal, beans, spices, sugar. What do they all have in common? They will look darn good in these gorgeous modern jars. An airtight seal provides quality long-lasting storage as well as a delightful vacuum seal sound when the lid is closed.
This was a bold item for them to include in their first box. Not one, not two, but three glass containers! I love it. I am a bit of an organizational freak. I love for everything to have its place, and I love any sort of houseware item that allows me to organize in style. These will definitely be used.
Silicone Oven Mitts ($10)
You know how the old saying goes; “if you can’t handle the heat, put on a pair of those awesome silicone oven mitts!” Our Bistro box is “hot stuff”, we wouldn’t want you to get burned. In light of this, we’ve included these versatile mitts for all your hot-to-the-touch needs.
Oh my goodness!! This next item is amazing! My Stepmom has one of these mitts and all us girls fight over it at every family dinner. It’s actually become a running joke. I have wanted my of my own for quite some time now. They work well.
Collapsible Funnel ($6)
Don’t let this little guy fool you, it does big things. The multiple layers allow you to use this funnel with a variety of bottle and container openings and have it hold securely in place. Plus it is easier to clean than your traditional funnel, and even easier to store away.
This is genius! Do you know how many times I wish I had a funnel in the house, but ALWAYS forget to purchase one when shopping for houseware items? I love that they included this in their first box.
Chalkboard Labels & Chalk Marker ($5)
The perfect accessory to the container set. Use these labels to tag the goodies in your new containers or any other jars you may have lying around the kitchen. Easily erase the labels with a wet paper towel and re-label.
It was a great idea to include these labels for use with the jars. Labels are my life…..I label everything.
Waffle Weave Super Drying Towel ($4)
Use this super absorbent & washable towel on dishes and your hands. It is tough enough to scrub off stubborn stains, yet the microfibres make it gentle to the touch.
This is a small item but a necessary item. I like that they included some wants and some needs.
RenovateCrate Review May 2017 – Final Thoughts
Eeek! I love this box!! My very first RenovateCrate was a hit. I like this box way more than I thought I was going to. I love receiving houseware items. These are the kind of items that excite me. I think RenovateCrate did an absolutely wonderful job with their first box. They present a clean/organized box from beginning to end. Their website is easy to navigate, their packaging is professional, their product card is organized well, and the price point is reasonable. This is a subscription box that practices what they preach. Every piece of the puzzle meshes with the next. There is a consistency with this subscription that I wish all boxes would incorporate into their business model. So far I am a huge fan. I can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us……..bring on the houseware goodies!
