Scentbird Review June 2016 & Coupon Code
Scentbird Review June 2016 – I don’t know about you, but I am the worst when it comes to picking out perfume. I get so overwhelmed by the number of choices, not to mention the fact that I get headaches easily which makes it very difficult to stand at a perfume counter and sniff fragrance after fragrance. To be honest, I can’t even remember the last time I visited a perfume counter. I think I gave up on the whole perfume thing when I was in grade 12, and that was a long time ago. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love a good fragrance, I guess I’m just too lazy to put the time and effort into finding one. Cue Scentbird….my new favourite subscription box, thanks to the fact that they send me perfume in the mail every 30 days, and in a cute little case to boot!
If you aren’t familiar with ScentBird it is a monthly subscription box for Perfume. Each month you receive a 30-day supply of a perfume of your choice. Let’s cover some of the basics…..When you sign up for a Scentbird subscription you start by entering your shipping and billing details, then start choosing the fragrances you want to receive by adding them to your queue! If you want to receive scent recommendations, click on the “Recommendations” tab at the top of the page, which will prompt the scent quiz. You can retake the quiz anytime, simply go to the account tab at the top of the page. Once you set up your fragrance queue you can add new scents, or rearrange your scents in the order that you’d like to receive them. If you do not have a scent chosen by the 5th of each month, they automatically send out our featured fragrance of the month for your male or female subscription.
This month’s feature scent is Malin & Goetz Bergamot which is a warm, timeless citrus. Hints of fresh green mint and glistening spices add intoxicating energy, while a dry down of woods and musk imparts an elegant, understated sensuality on the skin.
As much as I love the idea of automatically receiving a random fragrance every month (less thinking on my part) I also like to have some say in the selection process as I am very picky. I don’t like anything that is too flowery, and I LOVE fragrances that are sweet and fruity.
This month I went for Flower Bomb by Viktor & Rolf. Funny enough, it has a lot of flowery notes (which I don’t like) but at the same time it has a bit of a sweetness to it. I think the main note is Patchouli which is described as a musky, sweet, spicy aroma. I think this is the reason I like it so much, the Patchouli kind of masks all the floral notes.
I absolutely love that your first month includes a sleek perfume case (shown above). This way you can carry it in your purse or travel bag. And if you are anything like me, you will probably want a case in every color, so luckily they have a EXTRAS page where you can purchase more cases, and they even have a fragrance box to keep all of them in……..genius!!
Thoughts: I am in love with this subscription service. It is absolutely perfect for me, seeing as I hate the perfume counter. It also appeals to my OCD side, thanks to the cute little perfume cases and storage boxes……perfect for this of us who LOVE to organize. I found their site very easy to navigate, and I love that they give you recommendations based on your scent profile. I will be reviewing this subscription for the next few months so make sure to follow along and see what other fragrances I find……
