Simply Earth helps you “create a healthy and chemical free home for your family”. They kindly sent us this box for review.

I have to admit……since we found out we were pregnant my essential oil use declined considerably. I don’t feel confident with my knowledge when it comes to pregnancy friendly oils, how to use them, etc…. But…..baby is due in a couple weeks and I’m really looking forward to getting back on track. I didn’t realize how much I would miss using essential oils on a regular basis and I’m sad that I haven’t been able to get as much use out of my Simply Earth boxes…..I hate to see them go to waste. So…..for our next pregnancy I am definitely going to do my research and use essential oils to my advantage. Just saying’……..

Here’s a peek at the items we received in the February Simply Earth box…..

Recipe Cards

This month we received recipe cards for the following:

Sticker Labels

I love that they include labels in every box. Simply cut them out and attach them to whatever recipe you decide to make.

Extras

This month we received the following items to use with the recipes….

Fir Needle

Fir needles are believed by some to have the power to purify the air and the soul because of their disinfecting and calming properties. The burning of fir needles after childbirth was a common practice in the past, believed to impart good health for the mother and newborn. The pitch of the tree was also used to treat problems like menstrual irregularities.

Uses:

Coffee

The coffee plant was discovered in 11th century Ethiopia and spread to the Arabian peninsula in the 14th century. Coffee has white flowers with cherry-like fruit that smells similar to jasmine. Soon after its discovery, coffee was found to have medicinal properties by boiling it in water.

Uses:

Frankincense

Frankincense has been used throughout history, with its most notable appearances in the Bible and in ancient Egyptian history. Historically, Frankincense was used by ancient Egyptians for incense, treating wounds, and easing arthritis. In more recent times, Frankincense has been used in soaps, perfumes, and even in some pharmaceutical products.

Uses:

Veins Blend

This blend is wonderful for warming intact skin.  Bye-bye, Veins! Essential Oil Blend helps to increase blood flow to hands and feet that always seem to be cold, while also helping to reduce spider veins that are a normal part of aging.

Simply Earth Review February 2020 – Final Thoughts

How perfect is the February Simply Earth box!? I mean, it really couldn’t have arrived at a better time. Baby is due very very soon and the first oil I pulled out of the box was Fir Needle. Such a coincidence that the burning of fir needles after childbirth was a common practice in the past, believed to impart good health for the mother and newborn. And on top of that we received coffee essential oil for the very first time. I have been counting the days until baby arrives so I can start consuming a regular amount of coffee again. In the meantime I will enjoy the essential oil substitute…..perfect for diffusing first thing in the morning. That’s just two of the oils we received this month and I’m so darn excited about them I haven’t had time to learn about the others. But at first glance they appear to be equally perfect – frankincense alleviates swelling, and Veins Blend reduces spider veins…….. #pregnancyproblems
