Simply Earth is a monthly subscription for quality essential oils. Each month they deliver four simply pure essential oils, extras, and easy recipes, curated around a specific theme. Simply Earth helps you “create a healthy and chemical-free home for your family”. They believe that it shouldn’t be confusing to use essential oils. That’s why they sell essential oils at honest prices, and they teach you how to use them too. They kindly sent us this box for review.

Unboxing the May 2024 Simply Earth Box

This month’s theme was “Hair Care” so our monthly box was filled with oils and recipes related to caring for our hair.  But, before we get into the monthly box I want to share some details about what you get when you’re a first-time subscriber.

Because this is my first Simply Earth box, they sent me the “Big Bonus Box” which all first-time subscribers receive with their first delivery. The Big Bonus Box includes foundational materials we may need to make some of our recipes throughout the year.

Now, let’s have a look at the items we received in the May 2024 Simply Earth recipe box…

Recipe Cards

This month we received recipe cards for the following recipes:

• DIY Custom Dry Shampoo
• Happy Hair Wax
• Shiny Hair Mask
• Head Soothing Roll-On
• Protect & Shine Hair Oil
• Bubbly Diffuser Blend

Each recipe card lists out how long it will take to make the recipe, what the shelf life is on the completed product, the ingredients, and detailed instructions on how to make it.  My favorite recipe from this month’s box is the Head Soothing Roll-On. It’s a custom blend using lavender, frankincense, and ho wood, mixed with coconut oil and used to soothe tension and discomfort.  I’m going to use this recipe as my first line of defense against tension headaches before jumping straight to an over-the-counter option.

A close second favorite was the bubbly diffuser blend! It smells so good and really invigorates our space.

Sticker Labels

Every month we receive pre-cut sticker labels for the top of our essential oil bottles and for all of the recipes. I think this is such a nice extra touch.

Extras

The May Simply Earth box also included the following items to use with the recipes….

• Amber Spray Bottle
• Argan Oil

I am obsessed with Argan Oil – it’s such a luxury oil that has the most delicious scent. It’s popping up in some of our recipe cards this month which I’m really excited about!

The Oils

And of course, we have the main start of the monthly Simply Earth box, the oils. May’s box included the following:

Happy Joy: A custom Simply Earth blend made of Grapefruit, Orange, Geranium, and Ylang Ylang. Don’t worry, be happy! Happy Joy will put you back in the cheerful mood you want to be in all day! Love this one.

Cedarwood: Perfect for lengthening hair, cleansing skin, centering, and soothing skin.

Ylang Ylang: Soothes scalp, thickens hair, centers.

Head Soothing: This is another Simply Earth blend, made up of Lavender, Frankincense, and Ho Wood. Great to soothe head discomfort and skin.

Simply Earth Review May 2024 – Final Thoughts

I was really blown away by the value included in my first Simply Earth box. At first, I was just excited to try new essential oil recipes, but once I realized how detailed and well thought out the contents of this box is, it really left me feeling empowered to make essential oils an even bigger part of our life. I thought the hair theme was such an interesting angle that I had never considered before. I generally diffuse oils and use them on the body for different solutions, but I’ve never used them in my hair. I am very intrigued by the recipes they included, and even more motivated to try some of them because I love Argan Oil so much!
