Here’s a look at the beautiful plants I received in November’s box….
I’m a huge lover of succulents and was so excited to hear about this subscription box. One of my biggest worries was the shipping of my plants and how they would arrive in the mail, since plants are very fragile beings. Upon opening the box, I was relieved to see that Succulents Box carefully secures the plants with bubble wrap and packaging peanuts.
Also included in the box is an invoice slip and mini identification cards for each plant that is included that month. There is a card with easy-to-follow care instructions that tell you all the basics you need to know, so that your plants can have a long and healthy life.
Shipping normally takes 3-5 days, and it’s important to quickly unwrap your plants so that they’re able to breathe! I appreciate how well the plants are secured in the box. There’s also tissue paper lain on top of the soil and around the base of the plant to prevent a messy unboxing.
Look at these beauties! These babies arrived looking very healthy and alive. Each plant comes with their own little plastic planter too.
Echeveria Atlantis (“Peaches and Cream”)
My favorite succulent this month is the Peaches and Cream, and mostly because it reminds me of a flower. It has gorgeous colors including lovely pink healthy edges.
Faucaria Tigrina (“Tiger’s Jaw”)
The leaves of the Tiger’s Jaw are triangular and thick with little white ‘hairs’ or ‘teeth’ along the edges of the leaves. The center of the plant truly does look like a clamp or jaw! The Tiger’s Jaw will eventually bloom flowers with colors ranging from yellow, white, or pink. I can’t wait to see it blossom!
Portulacaria Afra (“Elephant Bush”)
Another favorite of mine is the Elephant Bush which is a bush-like plant with round leaves and woody stems. This plant was a little tough to unwrap and it did loose a few leaves in the process, but it still looks very healthy. I’ve read that this can grow very large and tall, so I’ve already transitioned it to a bigger pot.
Crassula Perforata (“String of Buttons”)
The String of Buttons plant has leaves that are tighter together with a pale green hue and rosy pink edges. The leaves are triangular in shape and grow in a spiral formation around the stem. It’s a very pretty plant that can grow 1-2 feet tall!
Succulents Box November Review – Final Thoughts
Succulents Box really impressed me with this month’s selection. I appreciate how carefully they packaged each individual plant, as well as securing the box so that unwrapping the plants is least messy as possible. Plus, all of the plants arrived alive, healthy, and beautiful!
My two favorites are the Elephant Bush and the Peaches and Cream, but I’m also very excited to see my Tiger’s Jaw bloom with flowers! It’s hard for me to get a hold of succulents where I’m from, so it’s nice to see Succulents Box making them easily accessible and at an affordable price.
