Tasu Review November 2019
Tasu Self-Care Wellness box is a box filled with handmade and curated products from Tasu. The items focus on self-care and will help you maintain a balanced lifestyle, mentally and physically. They provide you with 5 to 8 items such as candles, healthy snacks, yoga products, creams, jewels and teas.
The box is $64.99 in Canada ($48.74 USD) and is shipped quarterly. You can also pre-pay for one year and save a few dollars per box. You will be charged an additional $7.99 for shipping for both countries and $15.99 for the rest of the world.
When I receive my box from Tasu, I cannot wait until I get home to open it. I have to take a peek and quickly take a look at the description card to see what awaits me. I have been doing more yoga recently and have an urge to take it slow, take care of myself and simply be more present. With this box that Tasu kindly sent to me, it (pleasantly) forces me to take more “me time”.
They recently rebranded their logo and I love the new design! Also, I appreciate that they added some bubble wrap to the box since they now use mostly glass containers (love that!). With that extra care, everything arrived in perfect condition. Let me show you what I received in the November Tasu box.
Chai Dhaba – Very Berry, Organic Tea ($5)
A good cup of tea is so comforting and fruity infusions are almost like a dessert to me (well, a healthy dessert). This one from Tasu is said to be fruity, caffeine free and I particularly love the fact that the ingredients are organic. It sounds like a good blend after a morning yoga routine.
Honey Lavender Night Cream ($42)
An organic face cream made with real lavender, honey and hyaluronic acid. Use it after cleansing at night to have naturally glowing skin.
Winter is not there yet, and I already have a hard time with dry skin. I am delighted to get this amazing cream. It is organic, and it smells very good. If you like lavender (it is the dominant note) you will surely like this one. The cream looks dense but it gets applied easily and penetrates the skin in a matter of seconds. I did a test at first on the back of one of my hands and I could really tell a big difference between both hands. I might get more of this one.
Mint Orange Lip Balm
A rich yet not sticky lip balm with a hint of orange and mint oils to keep your lips soft while healing them from weather changes.
Definitely as described (except that “lip balm” is not “sel de bain” in french but “baume à lèvres”). A smooth lip balm, not greasy nor too hard and easy to apply. The mint is refreshing and the orange smell invigorating and calming at the same time (I like the smell a lot!).
Just take a little on the tip of you finger and you are good to go. The cute little container will follow me in my purse from now on.
Dirty Chai SOY Candle ($16)
Perfect for cold winter this warm spicy candle will fill your home with scents of cinnamon spice and finishing notes of vanilla.
I had to refrain myself from lighting the candle while doing my review. The smell is so comforting. It brings images of winter days spent at home with a warm drink, Christmas cookies in the oven and my kids playing nicely in the living room (ok, now I’m dreaming ha ha). It is simply perfect to warm up the cold days to come.
Anxiety Away Essential Oil Roll On ($14)
100% pure essential oil blend with Tangerine, lemongrass, Ylang Ylang, and Lavender. This season say bye to anxiety. Simply use this roll on to calm and stay focused.
A special mix to reduce anxiety is especially useful in a roll on since you can easily hide it in your purse or your bag and use it as necessary. A stressful day at your job? Just roll some on your wrist and rub both wrists together, then bring them to your nose and inhale. You can rub again and inhale a few times as you wish.
Personally, I will keep it close on my nightstand. I find it perfect to calm down before bed and go to sleep with a clear mind.
Tasus November Review – Final Thoughts
Every product is a hit. The November Tasu box screams stop the craziness of life and welcome to more quality time with yourself. I see a little ritual around these items: Light a candle and pour yourself some tasty tea. Then wash your face and massage it with some nourishing cream and a dab of sweet lip balm. Play a calming Christmas tune and roll on some of the Anxiety Away mix of essential oils… I would add a Yin yoga session and that would be perfect.
As my yoga teacher say, autumn is a time to anchor yourself, take care of your mind and body and prepare for winter to come. Take that time for you, even if it is just 15-20 minutes a day, and enjoy, you deserve it.
