The Bookish Box Review August 2019

Wear your love of books on your sleeve literally with a subscription to The Bookish Box. Each month, Appraising Pages brings you stylish goodies inspired by the most beloved Young Adult contemporary and fantasy novels.

Every box includes a brand new book and 3-5 home, beauty, and fashion items. Subscribers can choose between the YA or Adult book. Also, upgrades can be added to the box including, a t-shirt, tank top, or hoodie.

There are so many box options including shirt and goodies, shirt only, book only, or an all inclusive book, shirt, and goodies box.

Prices range from $18-$43. If you are looking to add more bibliophile style to your wardrobe, this might be the box for you.

Packaging: I received August’s book, shirt, and goodies box, and it arrived in a box with shipping worms to keep all the items protected. All of the small items in the box also came wrapped in plastic. The book came in a dust bag to keep it protected. I liked that the box came in a special edition pink design for summer.

What Came in the Wicked Victorian Box: All the items in this box have a fabulous steampunk vibe. They really brought the theme to life. The YA fantasy book of the month is A Dress for the Wicked by Autumn Krause, which was one of my most anticipated reads of August.

It also came with a gorgeous custom dust jacket illustrated by @morgana0anagrom.

The home items included in this box were a paper fan designed by KDP Letters, Lavender tea crafted by Story of My Tea, a Zodiac bookmark illustrated by Gabriella Bujdoso, and tarot cards inspired by Stalking Jack the Ripper and designed by @darkandbeautifulart.

I love the design on the fan and cannot wait to use it as a prop. I’m looking forward to trying the green tea, especially because it is caffeine free.

The fashion and beauty items included in this box were a headband inspired by The Infernal Devices, an enamel pin also inspired by TID and designed by Dust and Pages, a key necklace inspired by Sherlock, and a t-shirt inspired by Stalking Jack the Ripper and designed by guest artist Dogwood Lane Boutique.

I love the pin collection The Bookish Box and Dust and Pages have been collaborating on the past year, and I’m thrilled to now own one. I’m also excited about wearing the t-shirt and headband together.

The Bookish Box Review August 2019 – Final Thoughts

This is one of my favorite bookish boxes because it is always packed with usable goodies, and subscribers receive a lot of value for their money. I also like that subscribers can customize their box to fit their bookworm needs. I highly recommend trying The Bookish Box.
