You all know how much I love my book subscription boxes. It’s definitely one of my favorite subscription box categories. So….I’m pretty excited to be sharing with you for the first time – The Bookish Box. They have been shipping for a few years now, but this is my first time reviewing the book subscription box.

Subscription Details

The Bookish Box has 9 subscription options to choose from!

Here’s a closer look at the May The Bookish Box…..

Ravka Map Wallet by Sweet Sequels ($16)

I had a look on the Sweet Sequals website and couldn’t find this wallet so I am thinking it is an exclusive item for the May Bookish Box.

Key Chain ($6)

Love, love, love the saying on this key chain – “I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good” – which just happens to be from one of my favourite books.

Neverland Map Mug Rug by Ink & Wonder ($6)

This fun little mug rug will be a great addition to my desk as I always have a cup of coffee or tea beside me as I work.

Compass Knuckle Ring ($7)

I have tiny fingers so this actually fits me like a normal ring. I love the style and the compass detail.

Monthly Exclusive Enamel Pin ($10)

I’m still getting to know how The Bookish Box subscriptions work but the pin says “The Bookish Box Collector Pin Series 10/14” so I am thinking this is an item they include every month which would allow you to create a collection.

Monthly Shirt

This month’s shirt is inspired by Prythian from Acotar by guest designer Nerdy Post.

I think this is one of my favorite items in the box. Bookish shirt collection here I come!

PS – I am loving the fit and the quality of the shirt. Definitely worth mentioning.

Book: Romanov by Nadine Brandes & Kodiak Bookmark ($8)

The history books say I died.

They don’t know the half of it.

Anastasia “Nastya” Romanov was given a single mission: to smuggle an ancient spell into her suitcase on her way to exile in Siberia. It might be her family’s only salvation. But the leader of the Bolshevik army is after them . . . and he’s hunted Romanov before.

Nastya’s only chances of survival are to either release the spell, and deal with the consequences, or enlist help from Zash, the handsome soldier who doesn’t act like the average Bolshevik. Nastya’s never dabbled in magic before, but it doesn’t frighten her as much as her growing attraction for Zash. She likes him. She thinks he might even like her . . .

That is, until she’s on one side of a firing squad . . . and he’s on the other.

The Bookish Box Review May 2019 – Final Thoughts

The May The Bookish Box was a great way to get my toes wet and see what this subscription is all about. I’m a hands on kind of person so it’s much easier for me to learn about something when I have it in front of me. The Bookish Box has 9 different subscription options to choose from. This month I received the Young Adult Box including the t-shirt. I would love to see a list of their past books just to get a feel for what we can expect to see going forward. Sometimes I prefer Young Adult books and sometimes I prefer Adult. Overall I think this is a really great option if you are in the market for a book box. Because…..who doesn’t love bookish goodies?!
