The Gift Refinery Review Fall 2021

The Gift Refinery is a Canadian Seasonal Subscription Box delivering 7-10 full sized products they know you’ll love from Canadian Artisans & Businesses. Delivered to your door every March, June, September & December, each season promises to introduce you to lifestyle products you cannot live without! From Accessories, Bath + Body, Beauty, Fashion, Home Decor, Jewelry and Make Up. They kindly sent us this box for review.

I am a HUGE fan of The Gift Refinery and have been from the beginning. I just think the world of this subscription. It’s absolutely beautiful, the curation is on point, and the value is definitely there. I also happen to really love the mixture of items they include. And from time to time we see a high-ticket item in the box which is a really nice surprise.

Subscription Details

When you sign up for The Gift Refinery subscription you have three options to choose from, a quarterly subscription, an annual subscription or a one-time purchase.

The Gift Refinery subscription boxes will contain 7-10 quality items from the amazing Canadian artisans, brands & businesses you love! From beauty (makeup, skincare & haircare), jewelry, stationary, wellness, pantry items, housewares & more! Each luxury lifestyle box is curated by boss babe Jessica Avellino. If it isn’t something that she would love or use, she will not be sending it out to her #TGR babes.

Here’s a closer look at the items I received in the Fall The Gift Refinery box…

HERBALAND

Herbaland is a Vancouver-based, family founded company that produces vegan, gluten-free, low sugar gummy vitamins and supplements. Herbaland prioritizes sustainable manufacturing, using all-natural inclusive ingredients and supporting their community of Canadian-run businesses.

I am VERY excited about these first two items because I am in the process of giving my vitamin routine a complete overhaul. One of the things I have been wanting to focus on now that I am 40 is collagen, so the fact that one of our Herbland products is a Vegan Collagen Booster is pretty darn perfect.

Here’s a little more about the Collagen Gummies – These plant-based collagen enhancing gummies contain a synergistic formula of skin-loving, antioxidant-rich, collagen-boosting essentials for beautiful and radiant skin from within. Contains a combination of Lysine, Vitamin A, Amla Fruit and packed with potent Vitamin C.

And here’s a little more about the Calm Gummies (which I am also very excited about) –

  • Formulated with Magnesium, L-Theanine and GABA that help improve your mood and reduce stress
  • Helps lower blood levels, has anti-inflammatory benefits, prevent migraines, and improves PMS symptoms
  • Combined with GABA this can help reduce anxiety and improve your mood.

CUTIE OILS

From cooking to working to playing, it’s amazing what our hands go through for us. Isn’t it time you showed those cuticles a little extra love? Enter Cutie Oil. Made with vegan, natural, and cruelty-free oils, they moisturize dry cuticles and strengthen brittle nails so your hands can look as fabulous as you are.

Ah……yes! Another item I am excited about. I use cuticle oil daily, or at least I try to, so this will come in handy. I try to take care of my hands/nails and healthy cuticles is a very important part of that. I like the packaging and the applicator – easy and mess free.

EAST 29TH

East 29th is made in Canada within a regime of strict Canadian Cosmetics Regulations. This brand is happy to be transparent with the ingredients they use, or lack-thereof, such as their decision to be fragrance-free & non-toxic. East 29th products are also proudly non-GMO, vegan, cruelty-free, & paraben-free. The Vital Serum is designed to deliver a high concentration of all-natural ingredients to improve hydration, texture, and tone while also firming, promoting elasticity, and smoothing wrinkles.

You all know how much I LOVE my face oil/serum so this is another win for me. It has a great list of ingredients including Hyaluronic Acid and has received some great reviews. You are to apply it after cleansing and before moisturizing.

FITS

Fits makes frame-worthy puzzles that showcase art from female artists around the world. This puzzle — Tiger Queen — features art from Vancouver artist Lay Hoon Ho. These linen finished puzzles are the perfect way to find your flow state and unwind, while creating something beautiful. Happy puzzling!

Awe, such a fun product!!! I’ve been meaning to incorporate puzzle time into my weekends, even if it’s just a few minutes here and there. I especially like this one because it’s a picture I would definitely frame afterwards. It might be a fun piece for our guest room.

MA SOIRÉE

Ma Soirée aspires to bring a curated collection of premium, do-it-yourself nail wraps to the comfort of your home. Achieve exquisite salon quality nail designs in a fraction of the time without chipping or flaking.

As advocates for self-care and inclusion, they take pride in offering nail wraps that are designed and manufactured responsibility. As such, all their products are toxin-free, scentless, vegan, cruelty-free and pregnancy safe.

This is the only item in the Fall box I might not get use out of but I am totally ok with that. I recently started using press-on nails but these wraps are so darn pretty that I won’t let them go to waste. I will find a good home for them.

MAYLAY CO

Tiffany of Maylay Co. is a surface pattern designer with a love for making beautiful and meaningful products. She displays her love of creating patterns and artwork through her Gratitude Cards — specialty greeting cards with the purpose to spread love and joy.

With each pack of cards, there is one set for you to give to someone, and another for the recipient to pass on to someone else.

This is such a cute idea and something I will definitely use. I have been meaning to create myself a list of loved-ones addresses so that I can start sending snail mail and this just might be the kick in the butt I need. I think it’s such a fun idea to include a card for your recipient to send. Kind of like a share it forward type of thing:)

MOUCHE

Based in Toronto, Mouche is a female-founded brand built on the idea that everyday items, like facial tissues, can be beautiful and sustainable. Mouche bamboo facial tissues are made from 100% FSC-certified, renewable bamboo without any bleach, fragrances or moisturizers. Mouche tissue boxes are designed in modern, neutral colours that look great in any space.

Such a unique product for a subscription box but one that I am totally happy to receive. I like discovering new brands for household essentials and this one is super fun. I had a peek at their Instagram page and it is so pretty. Who new tissue boxes could be classified as home decor?!

THREE SHIPS

Three Ships views skincare as more than just skin care. Because you deserve to know the impact ingredients will have not only on your skin, but on your body and health. Their products harness the power of science to create 100% plant-derived formulations that actually work, giving you the best and healthiest skin.

Made in Toronto, these products are all-natural, certified cruelty-free and vegan, and avoid 1,400 potential toxins.

I am very familiar with the Three Ships brand and have loved all of the products I have tried from them to date. My lips have been extra dry the last few months so this lip kit is much appreciated. It includes a Vanilla Lip Exfoliator and a Buttercream Hydrating Lip Mask.

OAT OF THE ORDINARY

Created for those who value their health as much as they value their time, Oat of the Ordinary is a high protein, low sugar oatmeal changing the game of convenient breakfasts. Created by a holistic nutritionist, this oatmeal is gluten-free, vegan, and made with methodically thought out ingredients that provide a delicious taste with added benefits.

Lastly we have a sample of Raspberry Oatmeal from Oat of the Ordinary – a brand I have been wanting to try. Baby Steven and I share oatmeal almost every morning so I am happy to test out a new brand/flavor.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that this particular brand of oatmeal includes a plant-based protein blend, and other healthy ingredients like chia seeds and flax seeds. This is exactly the kind of thing I like to incorporate into Steven’s diet.

The Gift Refinery Review Fall 2021 – Final Thoughts

The Fall The Gift Refinery is pretty darn amazing. As per usual it was packaged beautifully and included a wonderful mixture of Canadian brands. I discovered some new items that I am excited to try and also received a couple of long-time favourites (Three Ships being one of them). I’m not necessarily feeling the Fall vibes but the Fall box includes a wonderful mixture of products that I would consider daily essentials – vitamins, tissue, cuticle oil, face serum, breakfast, lip kit. That right there adds value to the box. The Gift Refinery is one of the most beautiful Canadian boxes on the market. It’s definitely one of my faves!
