Here’s a closer look at the items we received in the December The Innocent Baker box….
Most of the ingredients to make Chocolate Caramel & Pecan French Macarons are included in the box and they are measured out already so all you have to do is start putting it together!
Included in The Innocent Baker box this month: almond flour, icing sugar, cocoa powder, sea salt, sugar, pecan pieces and halves, Callebaut chocolate, Callebaut caramel, a piping bag and parchment paper.
The only ingredients that you have to provide yourself are butter, egg whites and whipping cream.
This month’s surprise essential baking tool was a macaron mat. This mat helps to evenly space out your macarons and keep them consistently sized. Plus your baking doesn’t stick to the mat – No grease needed! Here’s a tip – the mat didn’t fit in my cookie pan, but I just turned the pan over so the mat would lie flat on the upside down pan and it worked perfectly!
The Innocent Baker Review December 2019 – Final Thoughts
I’ve never made macarons before – I didn’t even think it was something that I could make at home because they are so fancy! This recipe impressed not only me, but my family and friends couldn’t get enough of them. These sweet treats are perfect with your favourite cup of tea, coffee or champagne!
