What We Need to Purchase

Each month we are provided with a small list of items we will need to provide. This month we need eggs, whipping cream, butter, and sour cream.

Recipe Details

As per usual, the recipe was organized nicely, complete with numbered steps and photos. It also tells us the prep time (30 minutes) and the baking time (16-17 minutes). I found it easy to follow, with a total number of 8 steps. Here’s the overview:

  1. prepare streusel topping
  2. whisk dry ingredients together
  3. make donut batter
  4. fill donut pans
  5. layer on the streusel mix
  6. make maple bourbon glaze
  7. cool donuts on wire rack
  8. glaze donuts

Here’s a peek at the finished product. I can’t even tell you how excited I was to make these. I have always wanted to make donuts and am so happy to add a couple of donut pans to my baking collection. It also so happens that my Dad loves anything maple walnut flavoured so I made the donuts for him. I may be vegan but that doesn’t stop me from baking. My favorite thing to do is bake for other people.

The Innocent Baker Review June 2019 – Final Thoughts

This will be my third The Innocent Baker review and I am so in love with this subscription. Usually I like to review 3 boxes before making a final decision, but I loved this subscription from the very beginning. Being a baker, this is the perfect box for me. I love the convenience of receiving all the ingredients in one box. I love that everything is already portioned for you, and I LOVE that we receive baking tools. It adds value to the box…..especially this month because I was really wanting to add some donut pans to my collection. This month’s recipe was easy to make (as per usual) and it turned out beautifully. I LOVE that I get to bake a new recipe each month to give to my loved ones. The Innocent Baker makes my heart happy.
