TheraBox Review December 2019

I am beyond excited about today’s review. I’ve had my eye on TheraBox for quite some time and this will be my very first time reviewing it personally. We first started reviewing it on the blog in April 2019 and I have secretly been coveting it since then.

The last few boxes have looked absolutely wonderful so I figured it was time to start reviewing it myself.

Subscription Details

Here’s a closer look at the December TheraBox…

SONAGE | SONAGE GOMMAGE EXFOLIATING GEL | $36 

Exfoliate the past and reveal your rejuvenated skin! The Sonäge Gommage Exfoliating Gel is a non-abrasive microbead-free exfoliating peel gel that brightens the complexion, smooths the skin and eliminates surface dead skin cells. It’s a botanical face scrub made with locust bean husk, lime oil and camphor – an ingredient that checks bacterial growth so even the most sensitive skin is left looking fresh and glowing! Use this as an exfoliant once or twice a week or even as a hydrating mask for as often as your skin need!

I’m always a little hestitant to try new masks or exfoliating products on my face as my skin can be quite sensitive. But I did a little research on this one and it gets great reviews. You can use it one of two ways – as an exfoliant or a mask. To use as an exfoliant, after cleansing skin, apply a thick layer of the gel to the face and neck. Let it act for 1-2 minutes. When it is damp-dry, remove with your fingertips using the soft and light effleurage technique.

To use as a mask, after cleansing, apply a thick layer and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse with water.

What a fun product for a wellness subscription box! Once baby gets here I have a feeling I will be wearing robes quite often. Perfect for lounging, relaxing, breast feeding, etc….. I like that this one is grey (one of my favorite colors). The product description mentions a hood, which mine does not have, but maybe this was an option for some subscribers? Regardless I love it!

FIG+YARROW | DAY NUTRIENTS BOOSTER SERUM | $34

Little self-care acts including skin-care routines are like love notes to your body. It helps you slow down and figure some time out to pamper yourself – even if it’s just for a few minutes a day. Fig+Yarrow’s Day Nutrients Booster Serum is the perfect skin-care breather. It is a lightweight vitamin-rich cream serum formulated with a blend of nourishing botanicals and powerful antioxidants that deeply rejuvenates and promotes skin elasticity. I have been on the hunt for a new serum. The one I currently use (and love) is quite expensive so I would love to find an alternative. This one has a wonderful list of ingredients and I am quite familiar with the Fig + Yarrow brand. I will definitely be testing this one out.

Have I told you how much I love body oil? I’m pretty sure I mention it every time I receive oil in a subscription box. I rarely use lotion anymore. I see such great results with oil that it’s the first product I reach for when it comes to my skin, face, nails and/or hair.

Lastly we have an adorable desk calendar, perfect for the start of the New Year. I believe subscribers could have received one of a few different designs. I received a cactus theme and it’s pretty darn cute. I like that you can lay it flat, hang it, or stand it up on your desk.

TheraBox Review December 2019 – Final Thoughts

As I mentioned above, I’ve had my eye on TheraBox for quite some time. I just had a feeling about this subscription…..I knew I would love it and my feelings were spot on. I can already tell that TheraBox is going to become a new fave.

The December box was curated perfectly for the end of the year. Including a 2020 calendar, a journal to get my days started on the right foot, a comfy robe and some wonderful skincare products perfect for pampering. I think this subscription is done so well. All the little details are covered – packaging, informative product card, reasonable price point, monthly theme, and quality products. This is one to keep on eye on in 2020. I have a feeling we will see great things from TheraBox going forward.
