Think Outside Boxes Review: Intro Box

Think Outside Boxes is a monthly subscription box full of outdoor gear and resources that will get your kids away from a screen and outside exploring nature! Give your kids lifelong skills that encourage exploration & independence with Think Outside Boxes! They kindly sent us this box for review.

When you sign up for Think Outside Boxes, whether it be the regular box or junior box, your child will receive the Intro Box for their first month. That is what we are having a look at today and this is the regular box. Stay tuned as we will also share the Intro Box for the Junior Subscription.

Subscription Details

Think Outside Boxes has 2 subscription options to choose from….

Think Outside Jr. is designed for children ages 4 – 7, while their regular Think Outside program is best suitable for ages 7 – 16+. Depending on the interests of your child and parent involvement, the regular Think Outside program can also be interesting for younger children. The Think Outside Jr. focuses on the What & Why questions of nature and making it fun for kids to play outside and the regular Think Outside program is designed to help children gain confidence in the outdoors with our challenges and education with quality outdoor gear that can grow with them.

As mentioned above, today we are having a look at the Intro Box for the regular Think Outside Boxes program. This is the first box your child will receive when you sign up for a subscription…..

Here we have a letter describing the Intro Box and how your new Think Outside Boxes subscription will work. It tells us that the Intro Box sets the foundation for spending time outdoors.

This booklet goes into more detail about we can expect for the year ahead and it also tells us what we have received in our Intro Box. It talks a lot about our new pack – what to pack, how to pack, etc….

Your Pack

This pack will be used through the program. It has a water bladder insert, it’s foldable, there’s a water bottle holder, it has a padded back, emergency whistle and chest strap.

Bear Bell

To avoid startling a bear, wear your bear bell proudly on your clothing or backpack when hiking through bear country.

Resource Cards & Metal Ring

In each of your next boxes you will receive a set of theme-based resource cards.

Carry your resource cards with you through your adventures. Keep them together by using the metal ring we’ve included.

Paracord & Carabiner

Throughout the Think Outside Boxes program, you will learn different uses for each of these items. Don’t worry, you will get more paracord in the coming months.

And here we have a few little extra goodies…..

Think Outside Boxes Review: Starter Box

Think Outside Boxes is really looking to be such a great subscription for littles. This is only my second box (I reviewed the regular monthly box a couple weeks ago) but I’m starting to get a good feel for it. I love that this subscription encourages your child to step away from the screen and get outside. It allows them to use their imagination, it teaches them useful life skills and it’s just a fun box to receive.
