Here’s a closer look at the TokyoTreat box theme and the items I received this month….

March’s Theme – Happy Girls Day

Included in every TokyoTreat box is a mini magazine that gives you in-depth details of each treat in the box, descriptions, upcoming news, and mini activities!

Coca Cola Strawberry (Premium)

This month’s drink item is a Japan exclusive – Coca Cola Strawberry! I’m jealous the US never gets unique flavors like this, but I love being able to try out new and fun flavors with TokyoTreat. This fizzy soda has the same kick as a coke with a subtle hint of tart strawberry. It’s a unique and refreshing combination.

Peach Caramel Corn (Premium)

Tohato’s Caramel Corn comes in a variety of unique flavors like this Peach Caramel Corn! It’s a light and airy snack featuring both peach and sweet caramel corn puffs. I’m not a big fan of fruity crackers, but this sweet concoction was a delight!

Pokemon Hinamatsuri Snack Pack (Premium)

Not only does the bag feature cool Pokemon characters, but the snack itself is also shaped like Pikachu’s head! This is a puffed cocoa-flavored corn snack that is sweet and crunchy in every bite.

Cotton Candy (Premium)

I’m sure most of us are unable to enjoy fresh cotton candy right now, but this bag comes with your own cotton candy to enjoy in the comfort of your own home. It’s a fluffy and fun treat that melts in your mouth!

Sugar Rusk Umaibo (Premium)

The Sugar Rusk Umaibo is a repeat, but it’s one that I find myself hoping for each time! It’s THAT good! This crunchy treat is made of a puffed corn stick lightly coated in a sweet sugar coating. It’s the perfect simple treat for a pick-me-up.

Cocoa Bolo

Imagine if Cocoa Puffs were a sweet treat instead of a cereal and you’d get the Cocoa Bolo! These tiny ball shaped snacks have a rich and deep cocoa flavor that’s a great contrast to the handful of sweet treats this month. It provides a nice balance, and would also taste delicious with milk!

Pandaro Cookies

The Pandaro Cookie is a thin and crispy panda shaped cookie with a fruity melon flavor. The thinness and crunch reminds me a lot of a wafer cookie.

Cocoa and Milk Koala’s March

The Cocoa and Milk Koala’s March is a rich cocoa flavored biscuit with a sweet and creamy milk filling. Each biscuit has an adorable koala design printed directly on it. Plus, did you know every box of Koala’s March sold helps benefit the brave fighters trying to protect the Koala species? How awesome is that!

KitKat Matcha Yuzu

Another month, another fun KitKat flavor! I’d be lying if I said new KitKat flavors weren’t my favorite part of TokyoTreat boxes. This month features a unique combination of Matcha and Yuzu. The crispy wafer bars are covered in a creamy matcha white chocolate mixture while there’s tangy and citrus notes of yuzu lying between the wafers.

Mike Plum Popcorn

Yes, you read that right… Plum and Popcorn?! This snack is just as weird as you would have guessed! Savory and salty popcorn is mixed with tart Japanese plums. I’m all for sweet and savory snacks, but this salty and fruity combination did not mix well together.

Mochi Taro

Mochi Taro is another repeat snack, but it’s a yummy one at that! These crispy and crunchy pieces of mochi have been deep fried for a salty and savory snack you won’t want to put down. Warning alert – these are highly addicting!

Spicy Grain Crackers

The Spicy Grain Crackers are puffed rice crackers with a slight spicy kick. These would be a good drinking snack!

Full Moon Pon

These rice crackers feature a sweet and savory soy sauce flavor that’s very tasty. Each pack comes with two round crackers.

Baby Crunchy Seaweed Salt Crackers

This popular snack is made of puffed crackers that are light as air! Each cracker is generously sprinkled with seaweed flakes, which add a flavorful umami taste.

Turtle Crackers

Despite the name, these Turtle Crackers don’t have much in common with turtles at all! Nonetheless, these crackers are so crunchy, as if they were lightly fried. It has a great texture and the salty flavors are a great contrast to the sweet snacks.

Mini Monster Gummies

The Mini Monster Gummies is a rainbow colored gummy strip coated in sugar crystals. If you’ve ever had Airhead Extremes, this is so similar to it! It’s a chewy and sour treat full of tropical flavors. My boyfriend devoured this one in a few seconds and gave it two thumbs up!

Roaring Gum

What better way to end a full session of snacking than with some gum? The Roaring Gum is a yummy grape flavored gum that has major bubble blowing potential.

TokyoTreat Review March 2020 – Final Thoughts

Now that most of us are staying at home more, the TokyoTreat box is a great way to satisfy your snacking cravings. March’s selection featured many fruity flavors like melon, peach, strawberry, plum and more. Usually, I’m a big fan of fruit flavored candy, but when it comes to fruity crackers or fruit popcorn… I’d have to pass. Nonetheless, I enjoyed this month’s TokyoTreat box VERY much! It was so fun being able to try all these unique snacks that don’t even exist in any grocery stores near me!
