Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review February 2017
Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is the easiest way to discover cruelty-free beauty products without breaking your budget. Each month you’ll receive a delivery of 4-7 new products to try, ranging from unique cosmetics to luxurious skincare. They kindly sent us this box for review.
Wow, it has been a long time since my last Vegan Cuts review. We are talking years! I think I may have reviewed the Beauty Box when I first started AYOB and that was back in 2012. Even though I haven’t reviewed it in the last few years it has always been on my radar. Vegan Cuts is one of the most popular Vegan subscription boxes on the market. They have a Beauty Box, a Snack Box and a Makeup Box. I will also be reviewing the Snack Box this month.
Subscription Details
I spent some time on the Vegan Cuts website prior to this review and discovered the following:
- They now offer a quarterly Makeup Box (this is new to me)
- The Quarterly Vegan Makeup Box is for makeup lovers who are only interested in full-size makeup products and want to have their boxes tailored to their beauty profile
- Bonus Products
- The Bonus items are limited in number and are only available to customers who are subscribing for the very first time or to first-time recipients of gift subscriptions and who are residents of the United States
- I think they sometimes offer limited edition boxes in their marketplace
We received the following items in the February Vegan Cuts Beauty Box:
Emani Vegan Cosmetics Eyeshadow
Eye shadow trio with three color options to help your look go from subtle at work to head-turning for a night out.
I love, love, love these colours! Eyeshadow is one thing I feel very comfortable wearing and these colours are speaking to me. The pink will be gorgeous under the brow bone. I will use the medium shade on the inner or outer corner of my eye, and the darkest shade as a liner. Absolutely gorgeous!
Good to Know: This retails for $20 which is almost the cost of the box itself.
The Ariel Co. Lip Scrub
Passion Pomtastic! This Cotton Candy Bubble Gum flavored antioxidant rich scrub showcases ingredients that are known for their powerful anti-aging effect by boosting blood circulation & retaining moisture. It will naturally hydrate & heal the skin from the inside out. Warning, nourished lips may cause you to feel increasingly affectionate & confidence with your newly cared for supple lips!
This smells freakin’ amazing! I can’t even describe how good it smells. Here is the list of ingredients:
- Sugar, pomegranate juice powder, coconut oil, almond oil, jojoba oil, macadamia nut oil, vegetable glycerin, powder food color, cotton candy flavor oil, bubble gum flavor oil.
Where in the world do you even find cotton candy and bubble gun oil, because I need both of them in my life. The scent is out of this world!
Oral Essentials Toothpaste
Fluoride-free toothpaste using a perfect blend of various oils and dead sea salt to whiten teeth without harming enamel.
I am always on the hunt for a good fluoride-free toothpaste. Some may think this is a boring product but I actually love it when subscription boxes include the essentials. And the fact that it claims to whiten teeth is just a bonus.
Earthly Body
Protect your hair’s color and shine with this sunflower seed extract fortified treatment.
I don’t color my hair anymore but this also acts as a leave-in conditioner/detangler. It will also add shine (which I need) and will promote healthier-looking, soft hair. This is much-needed after the harsh winter weather. My hair gets dry and dull this time of year. I will definitely be giving this a try.
Crazy Rumors Lip Balm
Chocolate covered strawberry flavoured lip balm with moisturizing shea butter.
I am always happy to receive lip balm, and I receive it quite often, but this just might be the best flavor I have ever seen in a subscription box.
Herbal Transdermal Toner
Grapefruit mineral toner that effectively cleans skin and refreshes with a wide variety of helpful nutrients.
I have mentioned this before, but wanted to bring it up again. I just can’t seem to get into the toner groove. I want to love it, and think this one sounds amazing, but I’m just not quite sure what to do with it. It kind of intimidates me and I have no clue why. Maybe it’s because my skin is so picky and I’m scared to add one more step to my routine. I would LOVE to know if anyone else has luck with toner. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and give this one a try.
Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review February 2017 – Final Thoughts
Eeek!! I’m so darn happy that I got to review Vegan Cuts Beauty Box this month. Like I mentioned above, it has been on my radar for quite some time. I knew that it was one of the more popular Vegan boxes on the market, and now I see why. We received a nice little mixture of products – makeup, hair care, skin care and lip care. The value is definitely more than the cost of the box, and I discovered some new brands. I really think they did an amazing job. I am particularly excited about the eyeshadow because the colours are so darn beautiful. The lip balm is already in my purse, the hair protectant is exactly what my hair needs right now, and the toothpaste is an essential. I also find the price point to be extremely reasonable for these kind of products. Cruelty-free, natural beauty products can be very expensive. I like the idea of this box because you can sample different products before committing to the more expensive, full-size version. Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is going on the favourites list!
