May Box Details ($51.69 total value)

“This Beauty Box theme is Relax & Revive. This month we are focusing on mindfulness. Our box boasts 5 lovely products including a serum, a mask, and a lotion. Mahina Beaute’s Turn on the Light Face Serum will add a luminous, awakened glow to your skin. It’s extra helpful on those days when you don’t get enough rest. To fully relax we suggest finding a few moments in the day to slowly massage your skin with DERMA E’s Vitamin E Shea Body lotion—it’s a real treat. Also, this month’s box supports the animal friends at The Gentle Barn in Santa Clarita, CA!”

Here’s a look at what’s in the May Vegancuts Beauty Box:

Mahina Beaute Turn on the Light Face Serum ($18)

“A cruelty-free hyaluronic acid that intensely moisturizes the skin.”

This sounds like a really nice serum! It’s made with tamanu oil, seabuckthorn oil, ormus (an alkaline mineral that fights off toxins and provides high vibrational energy) and the essential oils of fragonia, yuzu and blood orange. The scent reminds me of lemon cream pastries – a little citrus, a little sweet and a little warm and almost buttery. It’s said to hydrate, brighten and protect. It’s similar to a hyaluronic acid serum, but is an ethical, cruelty-free, vegan alternative. I’m always in need of moisture and glow for my skin so I’m really looking forward to trying this serum out.

Derma e Vitamin E Fragrance-Free Therapeutic Shea Body Lotion ($12.95)

“Doubles as a hand cream to soften over-washed hands.”

Lotion is the perfect item to receive this month as I feel like my hands have been constantly dry lately with all the hand washing. I really like that this one is fragrance free so no worries if you have fragrance sensitivity. I also like that it’s a full-sized, large product – a great value and will last a long time. I’ll be using this one a lot for sure.

Dr. Botanicals Cocoa & Coconut Superfood Reviving Hydrating Mask ($12.90)

“A non-irritating mask that leaves your skin soft and supple.”

Masks are the perfect relax and revive tool so this item fits the theme really well. This mask sounds like a really soothing and hydrating combo of ingredients. It’s made with things like kaolin clay, coconut oil, sweet almond oil, shea butter and cocoa seed butter. It’s really easy to apply, just straight out the tube and would be a great weekly treatment to rejuvenate skin.

sf. The Pore-fect Strip ($4)

“Open up and clear out those pores while streaming your favorite shows.”

It’s been years since I’ve used a pore strip so it will be interesting to try one out again. I do probably need this as my pores get blocked often. You apply and leave this on for 15 minutes before gently removing to clear pores. I don’t usually like to use single use masks like this, but since it has a specific purpose it makes more sense.

Crazy Rumors Lip Balm in French Vanilla ($3.79)

“Hot tip! 4 Pat on the brow bone, inner eyes, or tops of cheekbones for a glowy highlight.”

This lip balm smells so delicious! Just like a rich and sweet french vanilla – yum! I’m not totally sure what the fragrance comes from, but it says it’s natural. The remaining ingredients are organic and natural and include moisturizing oils and butters. You can never have too many lip balms and this is a fun one with a scent I don’t have in my collection yet.

Vegancuts Beauty Box Review May 2020 – Final Thoughts

I love the brands I find in Vegancuts Beauty Box.! There is always a new one or two that I’ve never heard of so it keeps things really interesting. I like the theme of this month’s box too and think that each item really helps bring that theme home. Everything included will help hydrate, refresh or revive skin and make me feel ready to take on the new week ahead. I’m really intrigued by the serum the most, but everything else will be good to use to combat general skin crankiness that always lingers. Another fun selection of goods this month!
