September Box Details ($62 total value)

“The September Beauty Box theme is: Unwind and Soak

We are halfway through the year and have worked hard through uncertain times with our best foot and face forward. We all deserve to slow down, unwind and relax. Take time to account for what has passed and give ourselves a well deserved moment. This box intends to do just that. Emma Hardie’s Moisture Boost Vit C Serum and the African Black Soap in Citrus Ginger and Lavender by Alaffia will get you started on a self loving routine along with 3 other luxurious treats sure to delight and relax those senses. Come take a moment….to unwind with our September Beauty Box.”

Here’s a look at what’s in the September Vegancuts Beauty Box:

William Roam Sense Exfoliating Soap ($6)

“Fun Fact! Galactoarabinan-found in the larch tree bark used in this soap-helps the rest of the skin-enhancing ingredients penetrate skin, reducing fine lines and wrinkles.”

Soap is always one of my favorite items to find in subscription boxes since it’s so universally useful. This one smells lovely and light – a bit creamy and a bit floral/fruity – overall like a nice, fresh, clean smell. I like the round shape too as that seems easy to hold in your hand.

Emma Hardie Moisture Boost Vit C Cream ($26)

“Even skin tone, including areas of dark pigmentation and high color with this vitamin-rich cream.”

I like to use vitamin C in skincare for it’s brightening properties so this will be fun to try. I’m hopeful it can help with dull skin tone to freshen things up. It smells nice with a bit of citrus, jasmine and bergamot essential oils. I think this could make a good addition to a night skincare routine so the vitamins can tend to skin overnight.

Style Fox Super Greens Mask ($15)

“A powerful antioxidant-rich blend of nutrient-dense green superfoods, healing hemp seed, exfoliating fruit enzymes, and deep cleansing clays to supercharge your complexion.”

At first glance I thought this might be a sheet mask, but it’s actually a dry mask packet which I prefer. It’s a fairly small package, but it says the concentrated formula makes up to 10 masks so that’s a great value. It says it’s good for all skin types and helps to detox and brighten. I like to do masks every couple of nights so I look forward to adding this one to my mix.

Alaffia Black Soap in Citrus Ginger OR Wild Lavender ($5)

“You’ll never meet a more carefully crafted facial cleanser, body soap or shaving soap! This centuries-old recipe of handcrafted fair trade and certified organic unrefined shea butter and Orangutan-safe West African palm oil is enhanced with refreshing citrus oils and ginger extract. Potash-made from plantains and leaves-is added to the hot oils and cooked for six hours. The soap is cured in the sun for three weeks.”

Out of the two options to receive, I received the Wild Lavender scent. It smells SO good. I love lavender so maybe I’m biased, but it really does smell delightful. It’s very calming to the senses. I’ve never tried black soap before, but I think this can be used for really any body cleansing purpose. The all-in-one aspect and the size of this bottle would make it perfect for travel.

Natural Endeavours Black Cherry Lotion ($10)

“Lovely light, and light scented, lotion that sinks into the skin quickly.”

This lotion has a super light and milky texture. It almost borders on runny, but that ensures quick absorption to skin. It smells exactly like sweet black cherry flavor. The scent is a little too strong for my liking (I’m pretty sensitive so scents) so I might not use this one much, but if you love black cherry scent you’ll enjoy this one.

Vegancuts Beauty Box Review September 2020 – Final Thoughts

I like the relax and unwind theme for this month’s Vegancuts Beauty Box and think the products fit that bill. I always associate face masks with relaxing and self care so that’s a key item that was included. I will likely get the most use out of that one too. The black soap or bar soap would make for a relaxing shower experience and the lotion can help soothe skin afterward. Overall, I always love monthly themes that center around self care so this was a fun collection!
