Beauty products are always vegan, paraben-free, and free of harmful chemicals.

The theme for the September box is “Fresh & Fab Fall Favorites”. This box has a value of approximately $90 and features five beautiful products. Proceeds from this box will go towards supporting the Sale Ranch Animal Sanctuary in Temecula, CA.

Let’s take a closer look at all the items.

Batanaful 100% Pure Batana Oil – $11

“Perfect for all hair-types, batana oil is a powerful natural ingredient sourced from Honduras. Use as a deep conditioning treatment for damaged hair, a skin emollient for irritated skin, or to help fade scars and stretch marks.”

I was so excited to try this based off the description. Goodness knows my hair needs all the help it can get. I have never heard of Batana Oil, so I am not sure if this is normal, but this product just smells like cigarettes. The smell might dissipate during use, but I just really can’t stand the burnt smell. Sadly not one for me.

Nuria Defend Triple Action Eye Cream – $30

“Wake up a little brighter with this eye cream that helps brighten dark circles, minimize the appearance of fine lines, and reduce puffiness. Gently squeeze to dispense Defend Triple Action Eye Cream and massage around your eye area with the smoothing tip.”

This cream has a pleasant floral scent that I really enjoy. I am convinced that there is no eye cream out there that will fix fine lines, but am still excited to see if this will help with my dark circles after extended use.

Kirk’s Original Fresh Scent Traditional Castile Bar Soap – $2

“A premium coconut oil castile soap bar that provides a gentle, creamy lather leaving skin feeling soft and healthy. This is clinically-tested for sensitive skin and certified hypoallergenic.”

This soap has a very gentle fresh scent. I like it ok as a bath soap, but what I am really loving this bar soap for is as a makeup brush cleaner! Castile soap works amazing for cleaning brushes, and this is so much more affordable than some of the branded stuff out there.

Davids Peppermint Travel Size Premium Natural Toothpaste

“USA made, natural whitening, anti-plaque, fluoride-free toothpaste. It’s TSA compliant and comes in a recyclable metal tube. The delicious flavor comes from premium natural peppermint oil.”

I have yet to meet a dentist that will recommend a fluoride free toothpaste. I’m sure there are some who prefer this, but I see no reason to switch to this version especially when I live in an area where the water is not fluoridated.

Dirty Lamb Apricot Cleansing Oil – $8

“Melt away excess sebum and makeup to give your face the ultimate cleanse with this all skin type cleanser. Apply 4-5 pumps of Apricot Cleansing Oil and massage onto dry face and neck. Wash gently with warm water and washcloth to remove excess oil.”

I like this as a first cleanser to remove any makeup residue. It does leave behind a film – using a washcloth as suggested will help to remove it if you are like me and this is not something you enjoy. For me, I prefer to follow this up with a second cleanser to completely get this film off.

Natura Ekos Castanha Nourishing Foot Cream

This product is not on the card – guess we have a bonus item this month! This is a foot cream made from brazil nuts, and is supposed to deeply nourish the skin without leaving any oily residue. Yes please! I can’t stand creams that don’t absorb well. This one has a very soothing scent, perfect for a little pampering before bed.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I enjoyed the curation this month and the bonus item is a nice surprise! As usual, there is a good variety of products from facial skincare to body care. My favourites are the eye cream, castile soap, and foot cream. The cleansing oil is good and still something I would use but just not quite to my preference. I think someone with a drier skin type might enjoy it more it because it is so moisturizing. For a beauty box that sends items to help you care for yourself from head to toe, Vegancuts is a good one to try for sure.
