August Box Details

The August Yogi Lifestyle box theme is “Unlock the Power of the Chakras”

Experience a higher state of wellbeing, joy, love and abundant energy flow with this month’s offerings and techniques handpicked to enliven your chakra system. Discover powerful charka practices, tools and insights to create an optimal state of wellbeing.

Learning about chakras (or spiritual energy centers throughout our body) and ways to connect with them is just so intriguing to me so I’m excited that this month’s Yogi Box theme centers around just that. There are 7 chakras in all making a line from the top of your head to the base of your tailbone. Each one harnesses certain energies and needs to be tended to in a certain way to optimize the power it can give you. It can be a bit complicated to learn about them so thankfully this month’s box came with some great tools like a chakra healing guide to help boost that knowledge. I should mention that yoga in general is a great way to physically connect to your chakras so it’s fitting that this theme fell during National Yoga Month. It may be over now, but it’s never to late to appreciate yoga and the things it can do for your body including expanding and opening up your chakras.

Here’s a look at what was in this month’s box (total value $95):

Healing Chakras Meditations and Affirmations Guide by Ilchi Lee

Align and balance your chakras with this beautifully illustrated portable chakra meditation and affirmation guide designed to support your energetic health.

Like I mentioned above this is a great tool for learning more about your chakras and the powers they have. It’s a quick guidebook with all the essential information that’s super easy to digest. It gives the location, connected body parts, associated color and gifts each chakra brings you as well as a specific meditation and mantra for each one. It comes on a pop-up stand so it would be perfect for adding to your meditation area or altar for reference when needed.

Agate Crystal Quartz Cave

Harmonize and soothe your chakras with this stunning gift from Mother Nature, a natural geode crystal bowl. Agate is a grounding crystal, which helps stabilize emotional, physical and mental energy.

This stone is just so beautiful and would make a great addition to a sacred space in your home to remind you use it’s charka healing properties in your mediations or yoga practices. It provides a healing property for each chakra such as helping to unlock emotional blocks for the heart chakra or awakening intuition and insight for the 3rd eye chakra.

Yogi Surprise Chakra Bracelet Set

Harmonize your heart with your spoken word by wearing this delicate set of 2 adjustable gold colored chakra bracelets. When we honor our heart and speak from a place of loving kindness, we invite ease in our messages and communications. Green is the color of the Anahata chakra and Blue is the color of the Vishuddha chakra.

I think these are my favorite jewelry pieces I’ve received from this box yet! I love simple and delicate jewelry that can be worn often and with a lot of different things. I’m especially into these bracelets since they connect with specific chakras (green for the throat chakra and blue for the third eye chakra). I like that together they inspire and remind one to be kind to not only others but themselves. If your mind is busy like mine is than wearing reminders can be very grounding. Every time you glimpse them it can calm the mind and return your thoughts to clear and loving ones.

Muladhara Chakra Essential Oil Serum by The Hippie Homesteader

Get grounded with this potent garnet crystal infused cedarwood essential oil to balance your Muladhara chakra (root) and welcome a sense of wellness.

The root chakra is at the base of your spine and provides that grounding sense we all so deeply desire. If your chakra is closed off you might feel less connected to yourself and the physical ground we walk on. This essential oil serum is intended to help open up that chakra and realign that sense of security. It’s scent comes from cedarwood oil which is a heavy earth scent that’s woodsy yet bright green smelling as well – like fresh-cut wood and moss. This oil is infused with garnet stones that are grounding as well. You can roll this on and inhale anytime you need some inner peace or you can add it to a grounding yoga or meditation practice.

Premium Palo Santo by Alternative Imagination

Clear and bless your personal space energetically with Palo Santo, one of the most fragrant woods in the world. Traditionally burnt by Incas, shamans and medicine people of South America for spiritual purifying, energy cleansing and healing. Perfect for use before and during meditation.

I would bathe in palo santo if I could! There is just something so soothing and peaceful about it’s scent. It’s obviously a bit woodsy, but has a very sweet undertone with a hint of spice. It’s so easy to use to clear your space of negative energy by just lighting one end, waving a bit to spread the aroma and then diffusing. I like to do it right before or after a meditation session as it helps calm my mind and prepare it for clear thoughts. I think it would connect well with any of the 7 chakras and would help clarify the mantras that are suggested in the healing guide above.

Yogi Surprise Review August 2018 – Final Thoughts

With Summer winding down I think it’s the perfect time to reflect on the busyness of the season and prepare calmer thoughts for the seasons ahead. Balancing your chakras can be a great way to do that so all the items that came in this month’s box will be such helpful prep. I just love everything that came in this month’s box so I can’t pick a favorite, but I definitely think I’ll get a lot of use out of those bracelets and the chakra healing guide. Looking forward to next months box as always!
