YumeTwins Review May 2022

YumeTwins is a Japanese subscription full of kawaii or licensed character items from popular brands. Each box will contain cute plushies and squishies, stationery, bags and pouches, accessories, or daily practical goods straight from Japan.

They kindly sent us this box for review.

Subscription Details

The YumeTwins subscription costs $37.50 per box on a monthly plan. There will still be cost savings for longer term prepaid subscriptions. Subscriptions on 3-, 6-, and 12-month prepaid plans will cost $35.50, $33.50, and $32.50 per box respectively. Shipping cost varies depending on the available shipping courier for each country.

Each monthly box will still include 5-7 items to give you an experience of Japanese culture through everything kawaii. The box promises to include stationery, household and lifestyle goods, and character items. YumeTwins will also include YumeTwins Originals (these will be items designed by the YumeTwins team) and YumeTwins exclusive collaborations with brands like Sanrio to the subscription. They will also be featuring single brand or character boxes.

The May YumeTwins theme is “Sakura Tea Party” in celebration of the cherry blossom season. This box combines the Japanese past times of cherry blossom viewing and tea ceremonies, inviting subscribers to join in the experience with good friends and food.

The first three items in the box are items you can use to host your own kawaii tea party, ranging from practical to downright cute. Let’s take a closer look at each of them!

Love when an exclusive plush is included! This one is so cute and fitting for the cherry blossom season. The pouch can be used to store your tea party accompaniments like coffee, tea, cream or sugar. Don’t you wish that this was an actual cup of latte with Pompompurin latte foam art? According to the accompanying article, there is a Pompompurin cafe in Tokyo’s Harajuku district that serves food items like this. Definitely have to visit when I have the chance!

YumeTwins Original Cardcaptor Sakura Acrylic Stir Stick

Such a useful item! I have been using this to stir my teas. Also more eco friendly than disposable stir sticks.

This bag is huge! I have been using it to carry my groceries. The fabric is durable, and I love that it has a zipper to keep every thing safe. The design is super adorable, and there are little Hello Kittys hiding in the blossoms throughout. Can you spot all of them?

Hello Kitty Sakura Kimono Keychain Strap

This is so pretty! I love the little gold details. You can attach this to keys, bags, or zippers.

YumeTwins Review May 2022 – Final Thoughts

I absolutely loved this month’s YumeTwins box! The keychain strap and tote bag combo is my favourite – cute and super useful all at once. I also love the bowl and have been using that regularly. The stir stick is such a useful item to have around, and the Pompompurin pouch is such a cute addition to my collection. I think YumeTwins always puts such thought into making the product selections, and this month is no exception. Everything is so fitting with the cherry blossom tea party theme.
