Amoda Tea Review September 2016
Amoda Tea Review September 2016
Over the last year I’ve really come to appreciate tea. I never use to be a fan, but thanks to some wonderful tea subscription boxes I’ve really started to enjoy it. I don’t drink it as much during the Summer months, but now that the days are getting cooler, I’ve found myself thinking about it more and more. I actually have a cup sitting in front of me as we speak. I have reviewed Amoda Tea a few times in the past and I’ve always really liked it. Tea subscriptions are highly underrated.

Subscription Details
Amoda Tea is pretty straight forward, and I love that. You have one subscription option to choose from, it is reasonably priced, and it provides enough tea for 12+ cups. They also include disposable, biodegradable tea filters, which I happen to think is a great idea. I’ve noticed that they also offer different boxes from time to time. Right now they have a “Travel Set” which can be added to your subscription. You will receive it with your first month and it includes biodegradable disposable tea filters, a measuring spoon for the perfect cup of tea and an ethically-made pouch to carry it all. Such a fun idea.
Berry Maple Waffles
This is how we like our waffles – a spoonful of berries and just a drizzle of maple syrup, so we can still taste the goodness and the crispness of the waffle. So, is this breakfast in a cup? Apple-y sweetness, dark berries with maple drizzle and ceylon tea notes.
This is a high caffeine tea so it will be perfect with my morning oatmeal. The apple/berry combination sounds amazing. It definitely won’t need anything added to it.
Homestead Peach
This tea does somehow remind us of home. It’s comforting and familiar. Rich peach notes, reminiscent of grilled peaches, blended with dark fruits, hibiscus and rose hips. This is an amazing tea to transition to Fall. We love the tangy citrus finish too.
This is an herbal, caffeine free tea which makes it perfect for after dinner. Now that I’m not eating sugar, I’ve needed to find substitutes for desert. Tea works perfectly. Not to mention the fact that it is really nice to curl up with a warm cup of tea at the end of the day.
Green Bluff Green
It’s been awhile since we shared a jasmine tea with you. This one is beautiful, floral and sweet. It has two different green teas in the blend and handpicked, organic Washington grown apples. Perfect to calm you down on stressful work days.
The product description talks about the calming effect of this tea. I think it’s because of the jasmine. For some reason I find jasmine very calming. It also has calendula which is good for the immune system, menstrual pains, and healthy skin……..sign me up!!!
Teana Colada
Not a complex blend in itself – coconut, vanilla & rooibos, but it’s the perfect example of how simple can become amazing with high quality ingredients and mindful blending. We love Tea Greek’ery! She sends us handwritten notes you know.
This is another caffeine free blend, and I’m really glad to see it in the box. I prefer caffeine free blends to high caffeine blends. And seeing as I love ALL things coconut, this will probably end up being my favourite of the four.
Amoda Tea Review September 2016
Is it weird that I feel more relaxed even just writing about tea. Why is that? I love this little brown box. Especially this time of year. We received a nice mix of teas for September, and I’m happy they included two caffeine free blends. I’m drinking the Homestead Peach as I write this and it is really nice. I don’t add anything to my tea, no sugar, no honey, no nothin’, so I can really taste the peach and hibiscus. I wonder if they will include Fall inspired blends next month? Maybe a nut blend and a spice blend? I also want to try their Matcha. They have a smoothie blend. I need it in my life!
