September 2017

September is an exciting month and a time of transition for many.  From summer play to study & work, warmer days to cool & drizzles and greens to oranges & browns.  Some celebrate the transition and although we will miss the tank top weather in the Pacific Northwest, Fall is a really fun time for tea!  We’re doing a slow transition with the September box.

Monsoon Black

Something about Fall screams black tea, so we made sure to find you a special one.  This is a one-of-a-kind black tea made in Kenya.  It is a micro-batch tea, so not many people have tasted this!  It’s a light black with very unique flavour characteristics.

I do love a good black tea, especially with a masala spice blend and brewed in milk!  I can’t wait to stir up a batch and bundle up in a blanket!

Delight

You can’t get back to the reality of September without some sweet indulgences.  Delight has been on our radar for months and we’ve finally found the best time to share it.  Dark chocolate mint rooibos… what more can we say?

You had me at dark.chocolate.mint….. This has to be one of my all time favourite teas and when I first discovered it I also discovered I had been drinking the wrong tea my whole life!  So excited to add this to the collection, but not really add, because it will be gone within two days.

Right as Rain

Here’s a gentle reminder to be extra kind to yourself during the seasonal transition and stay healthy.  A beautiful soothing herbal tea that supports your immune system.  Steeping this can become a part of a daily ritual to move and breath.

Sounds delightful!  Not a lot of explanation about the type of tea it is?  I suppose the flavours of this one will be a surprise!

Blood Orange Oolong

Every once and a while we stumble into a simple flavour that really wows.  There’s a flavour complexity to the Wuyi oolong giving roasted notes, a natural fruit-like sweetness and a hint of spices.  Flavoured simply with blood orange, this tea was a pleasant surprise.

Mmm!  Orange ginger tea is fast becoming a favourite of mine.  I may brew in a bit of ginger with this to really finish it off.

Amoda Tea September 2017 – Final Thoughts

Love the transitions into fall that I’m seeing!  I liked the sound of all four tea samples provided and am looking forward to bundling up with each of them with a good book over the next couple weeks.  It’s headed towards tea season people and now’s the time to jump onto an Amoda Tea subscription to make sure you’re stocks don’t run out come those colder months.  I have always been very pleased with Amoda Tea and the selections they provide.  It’s an excellent way to be introduced to new flavours outside your pallet.  There is just enough tea for two nice size pots of tea, so enjoy it all yourself or make a couple batches with friends!
