BarkBox Review: April 2024
Let’s face it, our dogs aren’t just pets – they’re our family. They greet us with slobbery kisses after a long day, become our furry cuddle buddies on the couch, and are always there for a walk or an adventure. It’s no wonder we love spoiling them rotten!
If you’re like me, you’re constantly on the lookout for new ways to keep your pup entertained and engaged. Maybe you try out different homemade treats in the kitchen, or hit up the local pet store for cute new toys you know your pal is gonna love.
But let’s be honest, sometimes it’s just easier to have the fun delivered right to your doorstep. That’s where BarkBox comes in!
One of the things we love most about BarkBox is its themes! They take their themes to a whole new creative level that makes receiving and opening each monthly box fun for everyone!
Forget chasing squirrels in the backyard – this month’s BarkBox had our resident dog Rudy chasing a wilder target – all in the name of Barking at Bigfoot! Let’s see if this box lived up to the legendary hype!
BarkBox Subscription Details

Boxes are always based around a unique theme, holding a big surprise with each delivery.

Unboxing the April 2024 Barking at Bigfoot Box
Let’s have a closer look at the April 2024 BarkBox…
BarkBox never misses a beat when it comes to their box themes! This month’s “Barking at Bigfoot” was pawsome – and the toys and treats had my pup howling with excitement.
Looks like all that barking wasn’t for nothing – maybe our furry friends have been hot on the trail of Bigfoot!
Underneath all the goodies, the box insert continues down the box with educational material for pet owners. I think this is a cool perk to the subscription box. This month, they’re teaching how to introduce your dog to strangers with five helpful tips.
Normally boxes come with two toys and two treats, but this box is double stuffed – which means we’ve got twice as many toys and treats to unbox.
If you want to get a Double Stuffed Upgrade to your first BarkBox you can get yours here. The Toys
Manny Mothman: I love this one! My dog is going to lose his mind over the crazy crinkle in the wings and the squeaky center.
Jack Jackalope: This oversized stuffy has a squeaky center and crazy crinkle in the booty. Show me a pup who wouldn’t look absolutely adorable carrying this one around in their mouth? I can’t even stand the cuteness!
Buddy Bigfoot: With legs for days, dogs will go crazy whipping and flipping this guy around! Filled with crazy crinkle and a center squeaker – he’s pretty much a perfect 10 on the fun scale!
Gigi the Fiji Mermaid: This two-part toy is also a treat trapper! Hide treats or kibble in the mermaid tail before putting it on Gigi and let the hunt begin! Gigi’s got crinkle in her tail and lower body with a squeaky head. I honestly can’t wait to see my dog play with a mermaid. It’s like my two favorite things coming together!
Brock Ness Monster: I just can’t with these names – aren’t they the best? He’s got lots of different textures, a squeaky head, and a crinkly tail. This could be a fun tug-and-play option!
The Treats
Forget doggy boredom! BarkBox’s treats are like a flavor explosion for pups. This month’s unique offerings were a real treat (pun intended) – it’s fantastic seeing them go beyond the usual suspects.
It’s clear they put a lot of thought into variety – no more wondering if he’s getting tired of the same old routine.
Gobble Jerky Bars: These chewy jerky strips are easy to tear and share for the perfect size each time. They’re made with Turkey and don’t include any filler grains.
Clucky Yummies: Ward off the munchies with these crunchy treats flavored with chicken, parsley, and thyme. How fancy!
Moo Moo Jerky Bars: Another easy to tear and break jerky but this one is beef flavored to keep it interesting. This was obviously a win.
Jack-o-Loops: We’re really expanding Rudy’s palette with this one – cinnamon pumpkin soft bakes. Oh ma gourd they’re good! This is an example of a vegetarian option if your furry pal can’t have meat.
Bonus Treat – Fresno Night Crumbler: A bonus cookie to go with the Bigfoot theme. How funny.
Final Thoughts
BarkBox has become a highlight of our month, bringing pure joy to both Rudy and me. It’s more than just a box of treats and toys – it’s a little adventure for both of us. He gets seriously excited with every squeak and crinkle he discovers! It’s the best.
Beyond the entertainment factor, BarkBox provides truly high-quality products that keep pups engaged and satisfied. The toys are surprisingly durable – but if you have a super chewer dog that can’t handle plush or soft toys, check out the Super Chewer box instead. You’ll get the same great themes, but tougher toys.
We loved the Barking at Bigfoot box, especially the Jack Jackalope and all of the treats. Rudy does not discriminate against treat flavors or varieties and this month was no different! I really appreciate that the treats are made with high quality, natural ingredients so I can trust that I’m giving him a good option when it’s time for a reward.
The variety of toys and treats in BarkBox is fantastic, and the price point is very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the items. Plus, the convenience of having it delivered straight to our doorstep? You can’t beat that.
I was very pleased with this month’s box (and Rudy was beyond thrilled!). I would recommend BarkBox to anyone looking to spoil their pup with new toys and natural treats in a really fun, unique way.
