Basic MAN is a monthly subscription service that will deliver 3 essential pieces of your daily life to your doorstep. Every month, they will send you a t-shirt, boxer briefs and socks. It’s time to say goodbye to those saggy tee’s, stained underwear and socks with holes in them. They kindly sent us this package for review.
Basic MAN is one of the few (maybe the only) men’s subscription box that my hubby likes to receive. It really is the perfect subscription for any man. It’s something that all men would appreciate receiving because what guy can’t use a fresh pair of boxers, socks and a tee each month?! Factor in the amazing price point and it’s a subscription you can’t pass up.
Subscription Details
Basic MAN subscriptions are pretty straight forward. They make it easy, all you gotta do is pick your sizes and a monthly plan. Then just sit back and pop a cold one.

- Pick A Plan – Choose from a monthly or a pre-paid plan.
- Check Your Mail – Sit back and relax. Your package is on its way.
Here’s a peek at the items we received for June…..
High Quality T-Shirts
Are you the guy who wears an undershirt below your clothes? Or are you the guy who wears a tee as a fashion statement? Basic MAN shirts are for the both of you.
Our shirts are a hybrid between undershirts and your everyday tee. We use a heavier blended cotton fabric making them extremely soft while minimizing shrinkage and bunching. Subtle details give them a premium feel so you can wear them on their own.
Each month we receive a different color tee. I was a little worried about them at first because my hubby is 6’7 and has trouble finding tees that fit. We get him the x-large and even though it’s not a perfect fit it’s still wearable. Just something worth pointing out for all the tall men out there.
Modal Boxer-Briefs
Typical boxer-briefs are made from cotton or polyester. These fabrics attract bacteria, don’t absorb sweat well, and smell. Instead, we use Modal, which is a sustainable fabric made from beechwood trees. It’s 50% more absorbent than cotton, breathable and odor resistant…but more importantly it’s ridiculously soft and comfortable. Ever heard of Modal fabric? Probably not, but trust us, this stuff is amazing!
Basic MAN boxers are amazing. The material is breathable, it’s soft and comfortable and they wash well. I was worried that they hubby wouldn’t want to stray from his favorite boxer brand but he has been loving the Basic MAN briefs and they are slowly taking over his boxer drawer.
Multi-Purpose Socks
Do you ride around on those hover board things all day? Well, that’s weird. For the rest of us, our feet take a beating on a daily basis. Our socks aren’t just your regular dress socks. They are meant for everyday wear and tear. We use premium cotton and bamboo for optimal comfort. Wear them with a suit, or casually with a pair chucks.
I think the June socks are my favorite to date. If they fit me I would keep them for myself. The hubby likes to wear these with jeans or dress pants. I would love to see an athletic sock or work sock added to the subscription option in the future…..but until then we are more than happy with our bamboo multi-purpose socks.
Basic MAN Review June 2020 – Final Thoughts
The June Basic MAN brought with it classic black tee, perfect for any wardrobe, and fun teal-coloured boxers. The striped socks are my favorite to date and they pair perfectly with the tee. As I mentioned above Basic MAN is one of the only subscriptions my hubby gets use out of on a monthly basis. He wears the boxers on the regular and uses the tees for casual outfits and layering. The socks are used as a dress sock or with casual outfits.
Basic MAN is a must-have subscription for any man, but I have told you that before.
