Basic Woman Review October 2020
Basic Woman is a woman’s subscription that sends cozy and sustainable tops, undies, and socks for under $25 USD. These are premium, affordable, environmentally friendly, and basically desirable undergarments for versatile use! They kindly sent us this box for review.
I was really looking forward to writing this review because Basic Woman is a brand new subscription from a company I know and love. Basic MAN is a subscription I review each month, and one of the few subscriptions my husband likes to receive. Over the last year or so, I have mentioned in a few of my Basic MAN reviews that I would love for them to start a similar subscription for us ladies…..and here it is!! I’m pretty darn excited!
Subscription Details
Basic Woman subscribers deserve the best, so why should your basics be any less? With your subscription, expect quality, comfy, and matching sets (tops, undies, and socks) every month.
Top
Our tops vary each month between cute crew neck t-shirts, cami’s and crop tops (not too short) for everyday wear. They are a stretchy bamboo fabric that’s super soft and high-quality. We’ve designed them to fit every body type.
Our November top is this classic black crop top. Black is a wardrobe staple and I am loving the style. It’s not too short and the fabric is oh-so-soft. It will pair perfectly with jeans, leggings, and even midi skirts. I wasn’t really sure what to expect in regards to size so I ordered medium just to be safe. I probably could have gone with size small but I will wait to see what the other styles fit like before I go ahead and update my size preferences.
Underwear
Say goodbye to underwear lines with our laser-cut, seamless spandex panties. They are a bikini style with a little extra butt coverage. You can expect mostly darker colors along with nude and some other earthy tones.
For our underwear this month we have black to match our new crop top. The spandex material is super comfy and has good stretch. I like the extra coverage…..something I appreciate very much since becoming a mom. The waist cuts in slightly but the comfort makes up for it.
Socks
Sustainable, bamboo socks women’s (US) size 5-10.
My favorite item of the three this month – the socks! I love that they stuck with the black theme but added a little style with the coloured flecks. The perfect balance between fun and simple.
Basic Woman Review October 2020 – Final Thoughts
For my very first Basic Woman delivery I am pretty darn happy. I like that they started things off with a classic color as every wardrobe can benefit from a black crop and comfy black bikini undies. I think Basic Woman is a genius idea. It will keep my panty and sock drawer fresh and up-to-date. I’m looking forward to seeing what the other top styles are like and am wondering if we can expect different panty styles in the future. Either way I am a huge fan!
