BE KIND by Ellen Review Fall 2021

The BE KIND by Ellen quarterly box spreads kindness by spotlighting brands who do the same. The box is the ultimate place for fans to connect with her. Ellen hand chooses brands to spotlight in her box that do something “kind” for the world. Whether the products are eco-friendly, reduce plastic waste, or support mental strength, subscribers not only receive amazing products but also help make a difference in the world. They kindly sent us this box for review.

The BE KIND by Ellen subscription box has been around for a couple years now but this will be my first time reviewing it. I’ve kept my eye on it over the last year or so and have always been very intrigued by it.

The Fall box is sold out but you can pre-order the Winter box. Ellen hand picks the products herself and focuses on items that are cruelty free, sustainably sourced, and ethically made.

BE KIND by Ellen subscribers will receive 4 seasonal boxes each year filled with Ellen’s favourite, handpicked products. The brands she selects also make a difference in the world. 

You can choose a one-time box, a quarterly subscription or an annual subscription.

Here’s a closer look at the Fall 2021 BE KIND by Ellen box….

Sanctuary Project Gold Hoop Earrings ($50)

These are the perfect finishing touch to your everyday look, but the best part is their tangible impact made on women’s lives. Sanctuary Project is a nonprofit social enterprise providing meaningful employment and job training to women who have survived lives of trafficking, violence, and addiction.

I’m very excited to see this brand in the box because it was a good reminder to check out their website and maybe do a little Christmas shopping. The gold hoop earrings are lovely, but I’m also really excited about the company itself and how it supports women.

These retail for $50 and I think they are a great addition to my jewelry collection. I will definitely wear these.

Modern Monet Paint by Numbers Kit ($42)

Since we haven’t been able to travel in a while, we decided to take you on a trip around the world through paint. Every kit inside this box is a surprise — a destination somewhere across the globe! Maybe you’ll paint your way through the canals of Venice or the blue rooftops of Greece. Inside your kit you’ll find a canvas, acrylic paint, brushes and a guide to help you follow along.

The last paint by numbers I received I ended up gifting and immediately regretted it. I think this will be such a nice way to slow down, relax and take some time for myself.

Terra Thread Makeup Bag ($15)

This organic cotton zipper pouch is perfect for you to organize all your favorite cosmetic items, and we chose a sunny yellow color to brighten up your day! Our collaboration with Terra Thread supports Feeding America — generating 460,000 meals to those facing hunger in the United States.

In the product booklet Ellen mentioned that this was one of her favorite items in the box this season. I love receiving makeup bags because they are just so darn useful. As I sit here and look at this one I’m even thinking I could use it for little Steven’s snacks. The simple design makes it very versatile.

Charged Wellness Rose Quartz Bracelet ($40)

This beautiful bracelet is 18K gold-plated, fully adjustable and features genuine Rose Quartz — the stone of unconditional love. It carries a soft energy of compassion, peace, and comfort. Wearing this stone everyday will serve as a reminder to love yourself and be open to receiving love from others.

You all know I’m not a huge fan of bracelets but this one is very pretty. I love the hint of femininity with the beautiful Rose Quartz beads, and I also love what Rose Quartz means. This really would be a lovely piece to wear daily.

Daily Concepts Body Scrubber ($20)

The Daily Body Scrubber gently exfoliates the skin. Your Body Scrubber comes with Smart Label Technology. When the writing on the label fades, it is time to replace (after approx 90 days of use). DailyConcepts supports LAVA MAEX, which provides mobile showers to the homeless in LA and the San Francisco Bay Area.

I have received these little scrubbers before and really love them. A great little tool to have in your shower. It is something I use on a daily basis so therefore I really appreciate receiving it.

Miracle Brand Laundry Detergent Sheets

I fell in love with laundry strips a few months ago when I started using them for baby Steven’s clothes. I haven’t yet tried this brand but have high hopes for it. This is another product I appreciate receiving because it’s a household essential.

Maybe not the most exciting item to receive in a subscription box but I’m happy to learn about the brand and love that the bottles are made from 100% recycled, certified ocean-bound plastic.

BE KIND by Ellen Review Fall 2021 – Final Thoughts

The Fall BE KIND by Ellen box is a lovely curation of products from brands that are making a difference. That right there makes me appreciate this subscription. I’m not necessarily feeling a ton of excitement over the product selection and maybe would have liked to see something a little more seasonal, but overall we did receive some very useful and beautiful things. I’m definitely curious to see another box and think that this is one to keep an eye on:)
