I have a new favourite subscription box and it is called Bombay & Cedar!! I kid you not, I almost peed my pants when I opened this box. I couldn’t have put together a better box myself. It is beyond perfect!! You MUST keep reading, especially if you love essential oils and inspired living as much as I do.

August Theme – Calming
For many people, August signals the end of the summer and the beginning of the new school year. Even if you don’t have kids, there are a number of activities that start up in the fall, meaning your care-free days of summer are officially over.
This is why we went with the calming theme for August. As life starts to get busy again, don’t forget to take some time to relax with our essential oils included in this monht’s box as well as all of your other goodies that we’re so excited about!
They absolutely nailed it with the August theme. A box full of goodies to help you relax and stay calm. Really, it couldn’t be any more perfect. I love this time of year, but also find it a little hectic as I get back into my regular work routine, workout schedule, and start preparing for the holidays. I am already impressed with Bombay & Cedar’s Founder’s Box……..let’s have a closer look….

Lavender has a ton of benefits and just happens to be my absolute favourite essential oil. I love the smell of lavender. It’s most popular use is for reducing anxiety and emotional stress. I already have a few drop in my oil diffuser……it is wonderful.
Bergamot Essential Oil – 10ml by BOMBAY AND CEDAR
Bergamot is grown exclusively in Italy. It is a citrus fruit similar to orange but not edible, omitting a delightful fruity and floral scent. See our magazine for suggested uses. $10.00
I’m not as familiar with bergamot as I am with lavender so luckily they included a handy little info card. Apparently bergamot is good for pain relief , digestion and skin irritations. It’s a really nice oil to use in the fall because it mixes well with frankincense, nutmeg, sandalwood and orange……you could make an amazing seasonal blend for your diffuser….just sayin’.

Tea makes me happy, plain and simple. I was excited to see that they included a full-size box. And the blend goes perfectly with the theme.

This is the only item in the box that doesn’t really excited me, but that is strictly a personal preference. I’m just not a fan of these squeeze things. But…..it makes me wonder if they will include snacks on a regular basis? I hope so!

This is the cutest colouring set I have ever seen!!! This is curation at it’s best. It’s unique little items like this that make subscription boxes so much fun to receive. I’ve only recently gotten back into my colouring and hope to keep it up so this showed up at the perfect time.
Anti-Oxidant+ Face Mask – 4-Pack by KARUNA
Fortify skin and help revive, soothe and protect with this Anti-Oxidant+ Face Mask, featuring green tea extract, African chrysanthellum and Chinese licorice. $28.00
I love a good face mask but it has to be a quality mask in order for me to feel comfortable putting it on my face. I’ve received this brand before and really like the results. My skin responded well to it and I found it very moisturizing.
Essential Oil Bottle Carrying Case by MODERN MAKERIE
These essential oil carrying bags hold 5ml, 10ml and 15ml bottles as well as 5ml roller vials. They measure 9″x4″ and have cotton covered elastic for extra padding around each bottle. $20.99
Yes!! This is the best idea ever!! I’ve been looking for something to hold my essential oils. Until now I have been using an old plastic container and I just wasn’t feeling it. This case is not only gorgeous but it is functional. I absolutely love it!

I have received a few essential oil necklaces this past year but this is my favourite one yet. I love the style of it. Not too big or over the top. I’ve actually already worn this one and it paired well with my Lulu’s and Converse.
Lavender Aromatherapy Herbal Soap by PLANTLIFE
Aromatherapy herbal soaps made the old fashioned way, with lots of love! They aren’t made by machine, but carefully crafted by hand in small batches using the “cold processing” method. $5.95
I am always, always happy to receive quality soap in my subscription boxes. Especially lavender soap. It’s my favourite. I feel like this box includes a lot of my favourites. I haven’t stopped smiling since I opened it.

Bombay & Cedar Review August 2017 – Final Thoughts
Wow, wow, wow. That’s about all I can say. I am so unbelievably impressed with Bombay & Cedar. If I didn’t know better I would have guessed that this was their 100th box, not their 1st. They really have done an exceptional job. Better than some boxes that have been around for years. I can tell that Bombay & Cedar means business and that makes me so happy because it also means they are going to be around for a long while. I’m tempted to say that I like this box better than the “big 3” and that is saying a lot. I feel like Bombay & Cedar is catered to my lifestyle. Every single item is perfect for me. If this is the kind of box we can expect to see every month then I would suggest signing up for an annual subscription ASAP. Thank goodness they are a monthly subscription because if I had to wait longer than 30 days to receive my next box I would probably shed a few tears. I’m going to go now, and work on getting you guys a spoiler for the September box. Eeek! I can’t wait!
