Book of the Month Review May 2018

Book of the Month is a monthly book subscription box. Every month they release 5 new books which they have narrow down from hundreds of new releases (so you don’t have to). Books are announced on the first of the month, and members have six days to decide which book they would like to receive. Monthly subscriptions include one book, but members can purchase up to two additional books each month for $9.99 per title. They kindly sent us this box for review.

Book of the Month is my little reminder to slow down. It’s a treat to myself. It’s a monthly present because, let’s be honest, I deserve it. I feel like we all need a little reminder every now and then to take some time to relax and do something we love. For me that’s reading.

If you have a book lover in your life, this would make a really great gift!

Here’s a look at my May selection….

How to Walk Away by Katherine Center

Margaret Jacobsen has a bright future ahead of her: a fiancé she adores, her dream job, and the promise of a picture-perfect life just around the corner. Then, suddenly, on what should have been one of the happiest days of her life, everything she worked for is taken away in one tumultuous moment.

In the hospital and forced to face the possibility that nothing will ever be the same again, Margaret must figure out how to move forward on her own terms while facing long-held family secrets, devastating heartbreak, and the idea that love might find her in the last place she would ever expect.

How to Walk Away is Katherine Center at her very best: an utterly charming, hopeful, and romantic novel that will capture reader’s hearts with every page.

Book of the Month Review May 2018 – Final Thoughts

This month’s Book of the Month selection has really piqued my interest. I read a story on Facebook a little while back, you know the kind I am talking about, those motivating stories about someone (a real person) overcoming a huge obstacle. Well, this book sounds like it could be very similar to the Facebook story I read……or maybe it’s the same story?! Who knows. Either way, I am super intrigued and can’t wait to start reading. The weekend is only a couple days away so maybe I’ll spend a few hours one morning curled up with my new book and a big ol’ cup of coffee. Doesn’t that sound like heaven?! It does to me!

XOXO
