If you are in the market for a new subscription box, this is one I would definitely recommend. It’s perfect for anyone who appreciates attention to detail, handmade goods and beautiful finds. I have been reviewing California Found since December and I have loved every single box.
Each box is shipped in an outer mailing package so as not to damage the box itself. Once you open the lid the items are tucked inside and packaged beautifully. It’s for this reason that California Found would also make a wonderful gift.
Subscription Details
California Found is a subscription service that delivers a sunny box of beautifully crafted California artisan products to your door. Every month, California Found subscribers receive a collection of expertly curated items that may include gourmet, spa & beauty, home goods, jewelry, stationery and more, beautifully packaged and with a retail value of at least $90.
Cost: Month-to-month subscriptions cost $49.00 and ship for free in the US.
- Three-month subscriptions cost $144.00
Shipping Schedule: The current month’s box subscription closes on the 30th of the month. If you subscribe after the 30th, your subscription will begin with the next month’s shipment. If we are sold out of boxes the month you subscribe, you will be notified and your subscription will begin the following month.

Saltwater & Feathers Greeting Card Collection ($20)
Saltwater & Feathers- saltwater being the paper, the feather my pen- is a paper goods company that is striving to create environmentally conscious products that deliver a message while putting a smile on people’s faces.
First up we have our stationery product. This is a regular feature in the box and one I look forward to. They always mange to source the most beautiful stationery items. Just look at these cards! The designs are absolutely gorgeous.
Skin Ritual Pit Perfection Deodorant & Hard Lotion Bar ($11.99)

Here we have a couple of skincare goodies from Skin Ritual. I know I have seen this brand before but I can’t quite remember which product I received. Anyways, I’m excited to test both of these out, especially the deodorant. You all know how much I love natural deodorant. And I should also point out that the Hard Lotion Bar smells ah-mazing!!! I feel like this will be a good addition to my purse or travel bag.
Simply Straws Three Straw Set ($25)
They’re reusable, durable (lifetime guarantee – if you break ’em, we replace ’em), recyclable, dentist recommended and handmade in California with equal portions of logic and love. The materials are BPA-free, hypoallergenic and the colors are non-toxic.
This next item couldn’t have arrived at a better time…..really and truly. I was literally just telling a friend about my love for glass straws the other day and they thought it was weird. They had never heard of glass straws before, but I have a feeling we are going to start seeing them more often. Pop one of these babies in your Mason Jar and keep yourself hydrated over the Summer months.
Pacific Pickle Works Carriots of Fire ($9.95)
These pickled carrots will light your torch! These carrots add the perfect zing to kick up a Vietnamese Banh-Mi sandwich. Also makes a great garnish for a Bloody Mary.
I don’t know how they do it but California Found manages to find the best food items every single month. Just look at this fun little jar of pickled carrots! Really!!! What a wonderful idea. I will definitely be trying them on a sandwich, that suggestion is just too good to pass up.
Lulu LilyBird Sterling Silver Dangle Earrings ($39)
Fine gauge hammered sterling sliver “Slim” ear wire with rose gold filled accents. The Apetite stone reflects in the light, and it’s joined by a moonstone and Lulu tag. This style is easy to wear everyday, and a popular favorite with our shoppers.
Lastly we have a gorgeous pair of earrings. We usually always receive a jewelry item which is another reason I love California Found. This particular pair of earrings don’t really suit my style preferences but they are gorgeous nonetheless.
California Found Review May 2018 – Final Thoughts
California Found is such a lovely box, really it is. The June box has a beautiful mixture of products and a retail value of $105.95. My favourite item would definitely be the Simply Straws Three Straw Set. I love that they have sourced items that make a positive impact on the environment and I would love to see this trend continue in future boxes. I’m also pretty excited about the pickled carrots……is that weird? All in all, the June California Found is pretty amazing, as per usual.
