California Found Review November 2018

California Found is a subscription box that delivers beautifully crafted California artisan products to your door every month. They currently offer month-to-month subscriptions for $49.00 or three month subscriptions for $144.00.

Every month you will receive a collection of expertly curated items with a total retail value of at least $90 so nearly double the cost of the box. One thing I like about this subscription box is that the contents are a surprise! You won’t know what’s inside until you receive your box and unwrap the goodness! It makes the arrival and unboxing so much more exciting.

Opening the California Found box is always a joy! This is my second month receiving the box and both have seriously blew my mind with the unique products and their delightful aromas. This month, California Found is celebrating one year with products from fan favorite makers. Just by looking inside I can see why these products and small business are a hit!

California Found delivers the California lifestyle through a box filled with natural spa & beauty products, locally sourced gourmet treats, beautifully crafted home goods, and infinitely wearable jewelry. Each product includes a notecard that tells a beautiful story of the maker and you get to really see how their business started and connect with them. You can also find their web address on their individual notecards in your box and in the “Meet the Maker” blog posts on the California Found website. Also, don’t forget to check for the golden ticket to win a box for you or your bestie!

Two (2) Handmade Greeting Cards (MSRP: $9.50)

First item you’ll find in your box is two handmade greeting cards by Rosalind Bell, owner of The Wee Tree Co. The beauty about California Found is the information card they include about each maker. Reading Rosalinda’s story I have to say she is simply incredible! She left her career and decided to follow her passion for mixing colors and textures. She now creates beautifully crafted handmade cards with bucket loads of love, such as these two blue toned cards. The first card features an embossed reindeer and the second features a snow scene photo mounted onto the card, both with blank insides to write your own message.

14kt Gold-Dipped Recycled Pewter Hammered Thin Cuff (MSRP: $34.00)

Felice Jacobson has brought gorgeous handcrafted leather and jewelry accessories to Southern California with her business, Jesse and Co. She uses traditional handcrafted techniques to create these contemporary pieces. The cuff bracelet included in this month’s box is a very simple piece. A cuff is a staple jewelry piece that every woman should have! You can wear it alone for a little accent to an outfit or dress it up a little with a watch or stacking a few other pieces.

Two (2) 2oz. p.o.p. candy (MSRP: $12.00)

Bill Waiste and Rachel Flores opened up p.o.p. candy about 10 years ago, bringing buttery crunchy deliciousness to Santa Monica, CA. These butter crunch candies do not contain corn syrup, gluten, soy, and peanuts. Bill and Rachel hand make each batch with real, clean ingredients. I have to admit, when I first seen these it didn’t scream “super delicious snack candy” but after tasting them I wish I had more of this deliciousness! They are the perfect amount of crunchy and both flavors are so rich and savory. You can literally taste every ingredient in these. My personal favorite was the brown sugar and cinnamon!

The Logan Handbag (MSRP: $38.00)

Kristina Clark, owner of MidiQueen Handbags, designs and sells handbags in Ventura, CA. The handbag included is perfect for traveling or just carrying around inside of a larger purse. It has a wrap around zipper closure and the overall quality of the material is one of the best I’ve come across. At the top there is elastic that holds 6 brushes and it is very spacious. I travel a lot and always need small bags to carry my makeup essentials and this is perfect!

10oz. Candle In Glass (MSRP: $25.00)

The Hundredth Acre is inspired by the life of a writer, Robert Brink. He creates candles that tell a story in hopes to help others reminisce on their memories when they smell these 100% natural, soy candles. I received the A Walk in the Woods candle and as soon as you open the dust bag you get a huge whiff of pine. It smells 100 times better than my Christmas tree, not even kidding. Candles like this cannot be found in stores! I really love that California Found included a candle scent that fits perfectly with the holiday season. My house has never smelled so delicious!

YAS QUEEN Shimmer Body Oil (MSRP: $32.50)

The owner and creator of Belle & Beast Organics, Christy, began making her own beauty products at age 15! Isn’t that just amazing? Her business journey officially began in 2014 and because of her commitment and success, she is now able to provide everyone with organic, affordable, sassy skincare products. She sells so many unique products in her shop such as lip balm, body oil, scrubs, eye serums, and even beard oil for men! This rose gold shimmer body oil is so cute. It goes on easy and isn’t an overload of sparkle on your skin, which I personally love.

California Found Review November 2018 – Final Thoughts

California Found has done it again! All of the products inside of this month’s box are like nothing you can get elsewhere. I have only received two boxes so far but I love the idea of them bringing back fan favorites, it really makes the box experience special! If I had to choose my favorite product from this month it would probably be between the butter crunch p.o.p. candy and the Jesse & Co. cuff bracelet. California is full of amazing creators and small business owners so I can’t wait to see what’s in store for future boxes!
