Here’s a look at the recipes I received this past week:
Oven Fried Halloumi & Mediterranean Couscous
Deliciously-squeaky halloumi cheese comes together with tender couscous and herbaceous pesto in this savoury Italian-style sensation. You’ll roast cherry tomatoes and zucchini, bringing out their best flavour. A drizzle of homemade kale and parsley pesto ties it together on a high note.
Broccoli & Peanut Pad Thai
Channel the flavours of Bangkok in your favourite South Asian stir-fry! Golden-hued rice noodles intertwine with a medley of sautéed broccoli and red bell pepper. A luscious coating of sweet chili peanut sauce brings the signature pad Thai flavour, with a dusting of crushed peanuts for crunch.
Brazilian Fish Moqueca
Transport your senses to Brazil with this steaming bowl of fish moqueca! This exotic number marries a delicious balance of rich coconut broth, spices and fresh herbs served over steamed jasmine rice.
Chef’s Plate Review July 2018 – Final Thoughts
One of the things I like most about Chef’s Plate is that I get to choose my meals each week. It’s something I look forward to doing. I love going through all the new recipes and choosing the ones that suit my diet preferences. They always have at least 2 veggie recipes for me to order (if not three) and they have even added a new option for 15 minutes meals which is awesome. There’s usually 2 to choose from and they are quick and easy to make. Sometimes I will make small substitutions like coconut milk for cream, or vegan cheese for regular cheese, but other than that I can usually make the meals as they come. I absolutely love this subscription. It has made me fall in love with cooking which is something I never thought would happen.
XOXO
