Chococurb Review April 2017

Chococurb is a monthly chocolate discovery experience. They help people discover extraordinary chocolate with their monthly subscription boxes and through their shop, where you can purchase incredible products. They kindly sent us this box for review.

This is my kind of subscription box!  How many times have I sat at home, not wanting to leave the house, but desperately wanting chocolate?!  Ok, so I’m clearly not going to admit to that to who knows how many people through a blog, because it’s just too embarrassing to admit to how many times that has happened.  I will say that a chocolate subscription box is clearly the answer to my too lazy to leave the house chocolate woes.

I do have to admit that I am a bit of a chocolate snob, but discovering new chocolates also happens to be one of my favourite things!

Amedei Toscano Blond

Fruit chocolate can be so good or so terrible!  Considering all the ingredients of this are in another language I’m going to go with – this one is going to be so good!  Mainly, fruit chocolate gets bad when you use cheap ingredients and over produce.  I can smell the flavour through the packaging of this one!  I gave this one a little taste for you and can confirm it is amazing!  I never thought I would like a peach chocolate, as they are such different pallets, but this is really something else!

Dick Taylor Belize

There are literally two ingredients in this one…. Cacao and cane sugar.  You’ve got to be kidding me… That’s AMAZING.  I will spend upwards of 10-15 minutes reading the labels of chocolate bars to make sure they aren’t full of chemicals or crap or beet sugars.  Two ingredients?!  What!!  This is a huge win!  I think I may have to research this company and see if I can order bulk.

Jacobsen Salt Co. Pinot Noir & Salt Chocolate

I love salted chocolate!  This is more of an american style chocolate with a few more ingredients, but salted chocolate is a weakness and I can’t wait to see what this one tastes like.

Theo Cinnamon Horchata

I do love cinnamon!  My favourite way to drink a latte is with a bit of sugar and cinnamon.   I might have to save this one until my next latte and enjoy them together.

Fran’s Macadamia Gold Bar

I like how something other than a pure chocolate bar has been included.  Caramel is always a good idea and when you toss that together with macadamia nuts you’re scoring a real win!

Chococurb Review April 2017 – Final Thoughts

Wow!  What a great box!  Chocolate is my weakness and good chocolate is my kryptonite.  I would purchase three of these bars off the shelf had I found it in the store myself.  Us girls need our chocolate and this is an amazing way to get it.  I have to admit, my chocolate stash has been getting a little low due to a stressful month and this box will nicely stock it back up again.  I might have to order two subscriptions to make sure my chocolate stash never falls below the red line again!  Is that ok?  To order two subscriptions?  Maybe I’ll have them sent to two different addresses to save any embarrassment of being discovered.
