Crunchy Mama Box is a curated monthly subscription box that provides natural and eco-friendly self-care to fellow crunchy mamas. They kindly sent us this box for review.
Crunchy Mama Box is much more than a subscription box company; they create a community of Mamas that are on a mission to spread love, support, and encouragement. They support women-owned, small, and eco-friendly businesses that make clean, healthy products and that are motivated by a cause.
Each month you’ll receive a carefully curated box that contains 5-8 FULL SIZE products including home items like reusable snack bags or beeswax wraps, self-care items like candles or body care, along with snack items, a beautiful stone with meditation instructions, information regarding the companies behind the products, and more.
They are also passionate about giving back and they donate a portion of each box to a different Cause Partner each month that is working to make this world a better place.

Crunchy Mama Box is $29.99 per month with free shipping. New boxes are shipped on the 3rd of each month and will arrive to subscribers within 2-5 business days after shipping.
October Box Details
The October box theme is “Halloween Healthy”
Halloween is such a fun holiday and I love that this box is embracing the spooky dark vibes it always brings. None of the other boxes I review touched on the holiday for the theme so this is extra fun. The treats inside are perfect for all the moms out there busy planning their kid’s halloween fun while forgetting to treat themselves in the process!
Here’s a look at what’s in this month’s Crunchy Mama Box:
Box Insert
This is such an informational box insert and has a nice layout like a tiny newspaper. On the front it boldly lists this month’s theme along with an inspiring quote and the company’s mission. It also provides information on Cause Partner that they are donating to this month which happens to be the YWCA of Knoxville & Tennessee Valley for July. The YWCA provides life-saving services to women and their families in times of crisis. Inside the insert is a welcome note, detailed descriptions of each item including icons for those that are vegan or Leaping Bunny certified. The back page includes information on the stone of the month, how to work with it and a meditation and mantra that align with it’s healing powers.

I’m such a bamboo toothbrush fan and have eyed these fun brushes before but have never tried them. I love that they stand on their own and have a little pop of color. My toothbrush stash is running low (if I’m not out already!) so this comes at the perfect time. Plus, I always think Halloween is a good time to remind kids of good brushing habits with all the sugary candy they’ll likely receive and consume. Great item!
Mable Bamboo Cotton Swabs

I’ve been trying to only purchase sustainable cotton swabs recently and I’ve not tried this brand of them yet. I have, however, tried another bamboo swab and they are great so I’m sure these will be too. These are such a useful item for so many things. It’s great to find universally useful items (that anyone can use) like these in subscription boxes.
YES Bar Strawberry Almond Coconut Cookie

Yum! This flavor sounds so tasty. I like these because they are a quick, convenient, and only made of simple and nutritional ingredients like nuts, seeds and coconut (plus of course, strawberries). This would be a great snack or even a quick breakfast option for on the run. Also, makes for a nice treat instead of a candy bar for us moms – keeps the temptation at bay haha.

I love 100% Pure cosmetics and really like these eye liners too. I only wear black eyeliner whenever I do wear it so I’m stoked that this one is jet black. Sometimes I’ve received liners in other boxes that are more non-traditional colors that I wouldn’t use too often so I appreciate how useful this one. Also, this is great because it could be used to amp-up a Halloween makeup look.

These eye masks are so great and helpful to calm tired eyes – maybe for those moms that stayed up to the wee hours finishing a Halloween costume? Or maybe you could just wear them for your own Halloween costume and say you’re a tired mom haha! Either way, they are super convenient and effective making them easy to use when you need to perk up your peepers.

Yum! Another treat that sounds like a tasty replacement for a candy bar. I love that these are made with actual organic fruit and that’s it. I’d never heard of these before so I’m excited to try them out. I got the Strawberry + Acai and Blueberry + Acai flavors – both sound delicious. It’s also awesome how conscious this company is how they employ adults with disabilities with full wages – supporting companies that care is really important to me. I will have to order and try all of their other flavors for sure.
Eco Lips Eco Tint Plush Red Lip Balm

Such a pretty lip color! And another great cosmetic item treat for us moms to make us feel glammed up. This one could also add the perfect touch to a Halloween make-up look with it’s blood-red color. I’m getting dracula vibes. But of course this would look good for every day beyond Halloween too and the hydrating ingredients will be great for dry winter lips.
Artisan Glass Candle Holder

This is SO Halloween-y! Or maybe even Day of the Dead too! It wouldn’t necessarily match my everyday decor but is a great touch for the upcoming holiday. I like how the inside is gold so a candle will make a really pretty glow that will also spookily shine out the speckled holes.

I love tea, and these sound delicious and their branding unintentionally gives off such a Halloween-y vibe – festive! I got the Saffron Chai and Saffron Sencha blends. SinceI don’t do caffeine and only drink herbal varieties myself, I likely won’t try these, but I’m sure they are great!
Stone of the Month: Tiger Eye

I love the Tiger’s Eye stone. It’s just so pretty how it’s kind of iridescent and shines when tilted back and forth. It’s the perfect stone for this time of year too since Halloween often focuses on scary things to invoke fear (I mean I prefer the fluffy cute side of the holiday, but I know many like the ghoulish side) and this stone helps easing fear. And since it also brings good fortune, maybe that will bring more candy? Haha. In seriousness, this is a great stone to add to my collection. I’m always looking for grounding tools that help me feel safe.
Crunchy Mama Box Review October 2020 – Final Thoughts
Wow! What a fun Crunchy Mama Box this month! I absolutely love the Halloween hints and haunted vibes. Halloween can be a little underrated, especially when you’re an adult and can’t go trick or treating anymore so this box makes it feel like a kid again with a box full of Halloween treats. And I didn’t even have to get dressed up in a costume and go door-to-door to get it, it conveniently came directly to my doorstep instead! Love it! And of course I love the value too. This box was packed with just so many good items. Crunchy Mama Box always sends fun finds and goodies, but this month was definitely extra special.
