Decocrated Review: Winter 2022

Decocrated ships seasonally for $89.99 USD/box or you can pre-pay a year of boxes for $299.99 (a savings of $60/year). It currently ships across the US.

Each Decocrated box includes a product guide with tips on how to style the season’s pieces in your home. I love how they’ve photographed them alongside items from previous boxes. So much versatility!

I’ve been switching up my art prints with the seasons for years and love this new addition to my collection. I’d like to frame it with an extra-large mat to help it stand out but it looks sweet propped up on a cabinet in our entryway too.

So light, so soft! Pull this out in the fall for chilly evenings through to spring. The colours in the plaid work well with both cool and warm tones and a variety of styles.

“Add a rustic look to your home with the help of our woven basket! The basket is woven with a faux leather handle. Place it on a tabletop with our faux pine bunch inside or hang it from a wall with some personal favorite pieces. Get creative with this piece and make it your own!”

I ordered a similar basket a few months ago for this same spot in our front hall but it’s too small for the space. This one is much better. The texture and pattern of the basket give some nice dimension to this area and I love the contrast of the wood against the soft blanket. I haven’t decided what I’ll use it for in the long term but it I’m having fun playing with a few different looks.

The product guide shows the snowflake in the middle of a wreath, which is also cute. I can see it in any room really, all winter long.

I prefer natural greens over faux-liage so I’ll probably gift this bunch to someone who will enjoy it.

Annual subscribers had the option to customize their box by choosing between a red or gray French stripe table runner. Quarterly subscribers, we chose for you! Which did you get?”

I like the colour and the stripe but the material makes it a miss for me. It’s got a stiff plastic feel that probably does well with spills but I prefer a natural cotton or linen.

Decocrated also included a sheet of whimsical winter-themed stickers. Who doesn’t love stickers?!

If you enjoy changing your decor with the seasons, Decocrated is a fun box to try. I love the versatility of the items, the neutral colour scheme, and the variety of textures and materials (‘tho I’d prefer to see all-natural materials in future editions). The price and quality is similar to what you’d find in a Winners or HomeSense, only the shopping is done for you and delivered to your door free of charge. I’d love to see this one available in Canada!
