Ecocentric Mom Review March 2017

Ecocentric Mom is a monthly subscription curated for your stage of motherhood. Choose between the pregnancy, mom & baby and mom subscription box, and switch to the next box when you’re ready. They kindly sent us this box for review.

I have reviewed Ecocentric Mom a few times now and find it to be a really great box for women in general. Yes, they focus on all the wonderful mommies out there, but I myself really enjoy it as well. I review the Mom Box but you can also choose to receive the Pregnancy Box or the Mom & Baby Box.

March Theme

The theme for the March Box is Spring Ahead. Here is what the product card had to say about it:

March is a month of change – with spring around the corner, our March Mom box items were chosen to help moms prepare for that transition. A full-size hand balm in a clever ‘lip-balm’ type dispenser from Co-Pur is a purse must-have this season.  Heath and wellness take a front seat with a month supply of probiotics for mom. If a little spring cleaning is in order, discover the incredible power of natural bamboo charcoal at absorbing all the suspicious odors that kids can bring.  The highlight this month for our moms will be an at-home spring spa day with their new eco-friendly facial rounds from Marley’s Monsters and a luxurious full size facial mask from Province Apothecary.

Here’s a look at the items we received in the March Box:

Pro Women by Hyperbiotics,  One-Month Supply Included, $23.00

The detrimental impact of unbalanced flora (for women in particular) has lead to the formulation of PRO-Women — the first of its kind, a natural and proprietary formula comprised of 3 proven ingredients in women’s health and designed to give women multifaceted support.

This was a really great idea on their part. Probiotics are extremely important and I am horrible at remembering to include them in my diet. This bottle is a great little reminder, and it certainly adds value to the box. I love that they included a women’s supplement.

Sage Grapefruit Hand Balm by Co-Pur, 0.5oz, $9 (full size included)

Co-Pur believes in living with fewer chemicals, which is why this natural skincare company was created with a focus on using only high-quality simple ingredients. Each product contains 9 ingredients or less! Co-Pur products are some of the purest and cleanest on the market. They’re preservative, fragrance, and dye free. Co-Pur Hand Balms are perfect for the individual on the go, and are a great size for pockets and purses. They are great for dry hands and cuticles. Simply rub over skin for a nice layer of soothing moisture.

This is a nice little pampering product for us women. My hands are always dry, as are my cuticles. I’m known for having some sort of cream/balm in my purse at all times. I have mentioned this before but I use drive time as an opportunity to moisturize. While the BF is driving that is.

Ever Bamboo Mini Deodorizer and Dehumidifier, 3-PACK, 3 X 25 G, $9.99

Most home sprays and air fresheners are rife with harsh and toxic chemicals – and only serve to mask odors. Bamboo charcoal is produced from the rapidly growing moso bamboo. It has countless tiny holes that give the resulting bamboo charcoal its revolutionary abilities as both a deodorizer & dehumidifier.  Use these minis in small spaces where odors lurk – kids’ gym bag, locker, any cabinet, luggage, cooler, storage bin, under the sink, etc.. With proper care, your bamboo charcoal will last up to one year. Leave pouches outside under direct sunlight (2-3 hours per side) monthly for optimal performance. After one year, cut open pouches and mix charcoal granules into soil to regulate moisture. Cool, right?

Umm… cool is this! I am all over the bamboo charcoal trend right now and am super happy to have yet another product that features it. I hate regular air fresheners as the thought of ingesting nasty chemicals kind of makes me sick. Items like this add value to subscription boxes because they create a discovery process and a learning experience.

First of all, can we talk about how stinkin’ cute these little rounds are! I needed these in my life. I recently ran out of my facial wipes, and was contemplating whether or not I should purchase more or find a more eco-friendly solution. Well, here it is!

Detoxifying and Clarifying Mask by Province Apothecary, 30 ml included, $18.00

Province Apothecary’s Detoxifying + Clarifying Clay Mask with Glacial & Bentonite Clay is great for all skin types. The unique natural properties of Bentonite clay act as a magnet, drawing out impurities from the skin to clear pores + calm the complexion. Glacial Clay from British Columbia, detoxifies and tightens the skin, reducing the signs of aging. Canadian wild-crafted Algae nourishes the skin, regenerates cell growth, and stimulates collagen production. Quebec maple syrup mineralizes the skin and neutralizes free radicals, giving your skin a healthy glow and smooth tone.

To use: Apply to a clean face. In a small bowl, mix 2 teaspoons of the dry mask with 2 tsp of honey or water. Mix into a runny paste. Apply an even layer of the mask to face, neck, and décolleté. Leave on for 5-10 minutes, until mask is almost dry. Gently wipe off with a damp cloth.

Facial masks are another great item for a Mommy box. It’s a little reminder to slow down, and take time to pamper yourself. A good facial mask is sure to perk up your day.

Ecocentric Mom Review March 2017 – Final Thoughts

I think Ecocentric Mom did a beautiful job with this month’s box. I am pleased with every single item and love that they introduced me to something new. The kind of products they include are definitely worth mentioning. They are non-toxic, healthy, and earth-friendly. This makes me very happy. I should also point out that the value of this month’s box is approximately $63.50, making it more than double the cost of the box. They certainly have all their bases covered. What more can a Mom (or non-mom) ask for? Ecocentric Mom would be a pleasant little surprise for any woman to receive in the mail.
