GlobeIn Artisan Box Review September 2019

GlobeIn Artisan Box is a monthly subscription box featuring handmade, ethically sourced products from makers around the world. Each Premium Box has a theme and for September it’s the Amore Box, curated with some special items for pizza night.*

*They kindly sent us this box for review.

GlobeIn Artisan Box has a single subscription option, the Premium Box at $40 per month (all prices in USD). Each one is approximately $70 in value and includes 4 to 5 handmade items by artists from around the world. Subscribers can also choose additional products to customize their box. Shipping in the US is $10/month; shipping to Canada $22/month (your first box ships free); and international shipping is $25/month.

Each GlobeIn Artisan Box comes with a full-colour guide to contents. It tells you where the products were made, who made them, how to use them, and what impact your purchase has on the lives of the makers.

Personal Pizza Board, Thailand ($40)

This board is such a nice piece, both for serving and display. I would’ve loved to see a pair in the box for pizza for two. You could use it for fruit and cheese, charcuterie, small appetizers, all kinds of things.

Marinara Sauce Spoon, Morocco ($25)

A pretty and functional piece to ladle sauce onto pizza and spread it around or use as a spoon rest. The design isn’t really my style so I may save it to gift. (Would be lovely to give with a jar of homemade sauce.)

Bicycle Pizza Cutter, India ($20)

My favourite item in the box. Sturdy and sharp and so, so cute! I feel like this would be one of those things kids would remember well into adulthood. (“Remember how dad would make us flip a coin to decide who’d get to use the cool pizza cutter?”)

Tortilla Flatbread Basket, Mexico ($16)

Another versatile piece. Use it to keep tortillas, flatbreads and taco shells warm or store napkins or stationery or other bits and bobs. I absolutely love it!

Spice Grinder — Cape Garden Herbs, South Africa ($12)

A mix of salt, white pepper, rosemary, green peppercorns, basil, oregano and sage and a built-in grinder. I can’t wait to try it on a pizza or in a tomato sauce.

I think GlobeIn Artisan Box did a great job with September’s box. The pizza party theme is relatable and the items unique and versatile. The pizza cutter, serving board and basket are all fabulous (I hope to see the same serving board in a future box!) and I have a feeling we’ll love the herbs as well. GlobeIn’s Amore Box is valued at $113.
