GLOSSYBOX Review July 2022

GLOSSYBOX is a subscription from the US that sends you a box of five deluxe or full-size beauty products every month for $21 USD and valued at $75 or more. It’s a fun way to try a variety of skincare, cosmetics, haircare and beauty tools at a reasonable price and I’ve found the quality to be consistent month after month. I love this one! *

* They kindly sent us this box for review

GLOSSYBOX offers four subscription options (all prices in USD):

  • monthly ($21/month, billed monthly)
  • 3 months ($58.50, paid upfront)
  • 6 months ($111, paid upfront)
  • 12 months ($210, paid upfront)

Shipping in the US is free and shipping to Canada is $5/box + any duties and customs fees.

When you open your GLOSSYBOX you’ll see a beautiful product guide with pictures and descriptions of the contents, tips on how to use them and the retail price of each. Makes a great first impression!

July’s GLOSSYBOX included five beauty products and one extra treat.

Farm RX Bakuchiol Serum (full size) · “This concentrated lightweight oil-textured serum penetrates the skin’s surface to target fine lines, wrinkles and dullness without irritation. Bakuchiol is a natural plant-based alternative to retinol that helps visibly reduces wrinkles and discolorations and improve elasticity. Expect smoother, younger and more radiant-looking skin.” $44

Cleo + Coco Charcoal Deodorant (full size) · “This aluminum-free, natural deodorant works in harmony with your body’s chemistry to neutralize odor at its root. Featuring a unique combination of activated charcoal, plant-based powders, clay, and essential oils, this clear stick glides silkily on the skin and leaves behind a blissful scent of botanical notes.” $12

GLOSSYBOX included a moisturizer from Farm RX in a recent box that’s really lovely so I’m happy to see the brand again. Wrinkles and fine lines don’t bother me too too much but sun spots or liver spots or whatever you want to call them I could do without. I hope this serum will fade them a bit. (Okay a lot.) I haven’t tried the deodorant but it smells great. This one is lavender and vanilla.

Earth Harbor Sunstone Hair Revive Elixir · “When massaged into your scalp, this rejuvenating superfood cocktail promotes a flow of positive energy to hair follicles and wraps your hair in a crowning aroma of fruit, flowers and fresh earth. It’s a ray of sunshine for your hair ritual this summer, the perfect antidote to dry scalp, scraggly ends, and worn strands.” $30

My hair isn’t especially dry but it’s one of my mom’s complaints and she’s visiting in a couple of days so I’ll pass this along to her. I’ve tried a few Earth Harbor products over the years and they make great stuff!

Bellapierre Cosmetics Peach Blossom Eyeshadow Palette · “Flattering warm tones, a mix of textures and a super compact case — this is the ideal high summer mini palette! the matte and shimmer shades are highly pigmented and easy to blend, so they’re ideal for creating an easygoing beachy eye look, and can be blended onto the cheeks as a blush or highlighter for a monochrome look!” $25

We’re still masking up here so eye makeup is really the only cosmetic I regularly wear and this palette is so, so pretty. I love the mix of matte and shimmer.

Give Them Lala Lala’s Everyday Mascara · “If there’s one makeup product we can’t live without on summer vacation, it’s mascara! This all-in-one formula is perfect to wear everyday, helping to lengthen, volumize and define lashes without looking clumpy or heavy. We love the silicone wand for gripping the roots of lashes.” $20

GLOSSYBOX included this mascara in this year’s Mother’s Day Box and I didn’t love it. It just didn’t give me the major volume and length I get from my go-to’s (Benefit’s They’re Real! and Bourjois Paris Volume Glamour Push Up Mascara).

BONUS! Authentic Beauty Concept Metal Straw Set (full size) · “One small step we can all take to reducing our plastic consumption is switching to reusable straws. This handy set of three stainless steel straws comes with different sizes so you can choose the perfect one for your drink and there’s a cleaning brush and travel bag too!” $10

I didn’t include a photo of the bag these came in but I’m going to hang onto it and store these together. The different sizes are handy and I use straws way more often in the summer than the winter so I think these are a great summer box pick.

$21 doesn’t get you a lot for your beauty buck these days but GLOSSYBOX makes it stretch further — sometimes a little, sometimes a lot, depending on what you’re after and what works for you. It’s a fun treat, but also a solid buy. Makes a great gift too!
