GLOSSYBOX Review March 2022

I’ve got three great beauty boxes to share with you this week, starting with last month’s GLOSSYBOX. It’s a subscription from the US that delivers five deluxe or full-size products every month for $21 USD and each box is valued at $60 or more. I think the March box might be my favourite one ever! 😍😍 Have a look.*

*They kindly sent us this box for review.

“Welcome to Wonderland! This edition has been curated to transport you (metaphorically!) to a moment of beauty magic; there’s a haze of pretty pastel tones and a touch of sparkle in the air! Embrace a little adventure in your makeup routine, dip into color with this rich eyeshadow quad and create a fairytale glow with the subtle light-catching liquid highlighter.”

— GLOSSYBOX

GLOSSYBOX offers four subscription options (all prices in USD):

  • monthly ($21/month, billed monthly)
  • 3 months ($58.50, paid upfront)
  • 6 months ($111, paid upfront)
  • 12 months ($210, paid upfront)

Shipping in the US is free and shipping to Canada is $5/box + any duties and customs fees.

Each GLOSSYBOX includes a guide to the contents. I’ve quoted from it in italics below.

First up is a vegan product from Avon, Farm RX Super Greens Cooling Gel · full size · “Formulated with super nutrients like broccoli sprouts, brussels sprouts, moringa oil and green tea (hello vitamins and antioxidants!) this lightweight moisturizer is designed to keep skin looking softer, brighter and healthier. Dewy skin is in! $37”

It’s been years since I’ve tried Avon and I’m so impressed! This lovely light formula makes my skin glow. It smells wonderful and fresh and really does feel cool going on.

Merci Handy Hand Cream · full size · “Boasting a magical whipped texture, this lightweight cream from French brand, Merci Handy, will leave your hands feeling softer and more hydrated. With sweet almond oil and shea butter to nourish and repair. $7”

One of five different scents in the March GLOSSYBOX, this Unicorn cream is saving my hands right now. (With the number of COVID cases higher than ever I’m constantly washing my paws and drying them out.) How to describe the fragrance? Merci Handy calls it “a scent extracted from the purest rainbows, with oriental, floral and gourmet notes.”

Estate Cosmetics Just a Taste Eyeshadow Palette · full size · “Whether you’re feeling calm and collected or a little mischievous, these super pigmented quad palette will reflect your mood. There’s wearable neutrals for everyday and a pop of color to create a more playful look. $13”

Subscribers received one of two palettes — “Merbabe” or mine, Peach Punch. The colours are rich and vibrant and I love LOVE the purple, which I’ve been playing with recently in a mascara and an eyeliner. This shadow stays put. Vegan and cruelty free.

Luxie 205 Tapered Blending Brush · full size · “Your go-to eyeshadow brush. Luxie’s 205 is the ideal size to blend out transition shades in your crease. Soft enough to seamlessly sweep across your eyes, firm enough to add detail at the outer corners — it’s just perfect! $15”

This is a much larger brush than I’m used to using on my lids and it’s going to take some practice before I can really get at the outer corners. So soft tho. I have a couple of Luxie brushes from previous beauty boxes but not this one.

ModelCo Highlighting Shimmer Whip · full size · “Your secret weapon for highlighting and adding luster to your skin. This lightweight liquid illuminator glides onto skin effortlessly, leaving you looking radiant and healthy. Use your fingers to melt the product into your skin for easy application! $20”

Mine is a formula called “Champagne” that works well with my light complexion. Easy to use and versatile. GLOSSY tip: Wear high on the cheekbones for a subtle strobe effect, or apply under your foundation for a ‘lit from within’ glow.

I’m so pleased with my March GLOSSYBOX. The product quality is right up there with my favourites in each category and the mix of skincare and cosmetics is perfect for me (I like to play with both, but makeup more than skincare). I’ll finish every one of these products and have fun experimenting with the brush. The March GLOSSYBOX is valued at $83.
